There are 22 pest species (belong to 10 Familia, 4 Ordo), which destroy insect specimens in Xianyang areas by investigating. While Coleopteran account for 86.2% in total, and Permestidae is 66.7% in Coleopteran, Trogoderma uariabite reaches to 61.7% of all studied Coleopteran, it is 31.9% in all investigating pest. It suggests that the Coleopteran is the major family, and Trogoderma uariabite is the dominant species. The studies showed that Trogoderma uariabite occurred two generation a year in Xianyang of Shaanxi province in room conditions. The larvae in different age overwintered in the body of insects or the slit of the specimen boxes. The overwintering larva began to act, and the first and middle ten days of May was peak time of pupation, the pupation time was about 5-7 days. The peak time of adult emergence was the last ten days of May and the first ten days of June, the egg period was 8-12 days. Hatching period of first generation larva was the first and middle ten days of June; the peak time of adult emergence was the last ten days of July. The hatching period of the second generation of larva was the last ten days of July to the first ten days of August. So the harm period of the larva was about 5-7 months. Adult need not to continue feeding, and the pattern of mating was"V"shape, it also had some other behaviors and habits such as phototaxis, anaboisis, gregarious phase and so on. The average life span of adult was about 16 days. The larvae did not kill each other in the state of starvation, and the progenitive ability reduced to 60% after hungering for 365days.When temperature was at 27℃, and relative humidity was about 75%, it had the linear relationship between the logarithm of Trogoderma uariabite last larva number and the pupation time, and formula is Y=9.75+14.58logx. The optimum temperature of development was 27.8℃-35℃; its development will be inhabited when the temperature was higher than 37.8℃or lower than 17.8℃. The starting temperature of eggs, larvae, pupae and adult were 14.5℃, 15.9℃, 14.6℃, 13.6℃and15.5℃, and the effective accumulative temperature were 113.25 d·℃, 513.43 d·℃, 71.29 d·℃, 43.67 d·℃and 716.67 d·℃respectively. The utilization of the temperature in preventing Trogoderma uariabite and insecticide test showed that the larvae were treated at the temperature of -30℃for 1-2days, -25℃for 3-5days and -20℃for 5-7days; the growing larvae were treated 1-2h at temperature of -20℃, others were for 2-3days, 50℃for 3-4h, 60℃for 1-2 h, their death rate all reached to 100%.Toxicity testing to 3-4 age larva using droplet showed that the best preventing effect was Jinglv 1 and 24.5% Abamectin petroleum oil, the second is 20% Fenvalerate, and the last one is Abamectin (2.0). The sensitity of different stage of Trogoderma uariabite to Aluminum phosphide were adult, 3-4 age larvae, elder larva, pupa and egg. With the increase of Ethyl formate amount and control time, the death rate of Trogoderma uariabite was increasing at same temperature. At the range of 20-35℃, the suffocating effect reduced when the temperature rised, the effect is best at 21℃. The death rates of different stages were 100% using 50g/m3 Ethyl formate for 48h or 55g/m3 Ethyl formate for 24h. at 25℃, the 3-4 age larva have been treated 5 h using the mixture of the Methyl bromide and Hadro-phosphine which the percentage are100:1, 100: 2, 100: 5 and100: 10, the results showed the four combination all could increase the effect, the optimize percentage was 100:5...
