There were some researches about soybean seed aging, resistance ofseed aging and resistance genetic cultivation before and after harvest.However, the studies on seed aging could not catch up with the soybeandevelopment. Therefore, it is important to find out the reasons causingsoybean seed vigor descent, and its physiological and biochemical varietylaws for providing basic theory of safety store methods and an appropriaterenewed criterion for oil seeds. We studied the effects of different agingconditions (including hot water(58±1℃),high temperature and humidity(40℃,100%RH) and 50%methanol solution) on soybean seed vigor andphysiological and biochemical characteristics. The results were as follows:1 We found that germination potential, germination percent, germinationindex and activity index of soybean seeds had a degressive tendency withprolonging of the aging under three artificial aging to deal with soybeanseeds. The results indicated that the vigor of the artificial aged seed declinedquickly than its germination index, and soybean seed deteriorated moreseriously with the longer aging.2 Soybean seed relative conductivity rate of soybean seeds' exosmicliquor, the content of exosmic soluble sugar and Malondialdehyde(MDA)increased as three artificial treating time extension. The relative conductancerate, the content of MDA correlated respectively with the germination index.The correlation ships were significantly negative.3 This study examined the different artificial aging on the enzymaticactivities of superoxide(SOD), peroxidase(POD), catalase(CAT) andGlutathione deoxidation enzyme(GR) in soybean radicels. The followingenzyme kinetic analysis showed that the SOD activity was enhanced afteraging. On the contrary, the POD and GR activity was weakened or inhibitedcompletely. The SOD activity negatively with the germination index, andcorrelated positively with the content of MDA. The correlation between thePOD activity and the germination index, and the content of MDA showed the contrary trend to the SOD activity. However, there was a different effect onthe CAT activity that it was bated after treated with hot water(58±1℃) and50% methanol solution, and it was increased and then reduced in the laterstage when treated with high temperature and humidity(40℃,100%RH ).4 We analyzed the changes of the electrophoresis patterns of SOD, PODand the proteins by polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (PAGE) method. Wefound that the expressions of SOD, POD and proteins changed differently.The electrophoresis patterns showed that the expressions of one part ofproteins reduced, and the expressions of other part proteins increased.
