This paper presents the results of physiological and biochemistry indexes of six Xinjiang Bermuda Grass varieties during 60 days of drought treatment conditions. The results have shown that: under simulated drought treatment, the electrical conductivity of the six Xinjiang Bermuda Grasses increased with the length of the drought time; the leaf Chlorophyll a+b, a and b content remained low, while a/b was unstable; the proline (Pro) content of the leaves increased, which helps to maintain the osmotic equilibrium; the content of soluble sugar in the leaves increased initially and then was reduced later due to the extension of drought treatment time; . the content of soluble protein was reduced initially and later increased; the content of MDA in the leaves increased.; SOD and CAT activity remained strong and POD was strong initially and weakened later; and lastly, relative soil water content in each treatment area and relative leaf water content dropped…According to the changes of all drought resistance indexes which were studied in this experiment, under 60 days of water stress, all 6 Xinjiang Bermuda Grass varieties maintained considerably good drought resistant characteristics. We have learned from the results above that there are differences between the six Xinjiang Bermuda Grass varieties on the drought resistance indexes which had been studied. The order of adaptability to stress of continuous drought from highest to lowest was Kashi>C3>Xinnong No1>C5>Xinnong No2>C2。...
