In this paper, we study some factors that affect lactation performance from colostrum, the composition of milk and body size. In first experimental, research the main components (NFS,fat, protein, density, conductivity, crude ash .etc) of colostrums in 10 Ili horses and 12 hybrid horses from Ili horses and New Kirgiz Horse . During first 4h after parturition, protein in colostrums of Ili horses were remarkable higher than hybrid horses(P<0.01). During 3d after parturition, protein density and crude ash in colostrums of Ili horses significantly higher than hybrid horses(P<0.05). During 6h after parturition, NFS in colostrums of Ili horses s were remarkable higher than hybrid horses(P<0.01).In second experimental, we selected 8 Ili horses from Xinjiang Zhaosu stud. After training, we began milking since second month after parturition. To records the milk production and the change of main components in the milk, and analyse it's correlation between milk production and milk composition. The results showed that: there is significant correlation between milk production and the fat in milk, the correlation coefficient was 0.731(P<0.01).In third experimental, we selected 8 Ili horses from Xinjiang Zhaosu stud. Analyse it's correlation between milk production and body sizes. The results showed that: there is significant correlation between milk production and some body sizes; between milk production and body length, the correlation coefficient was 0.495(P<0.05); between milk production and bust, the correlation coefficient was 0.509(P<0.01); between milk production and hip breadth, the correlation coefficient was 0.709(P<0.01); between milk production and chest breadth, the correlation coefficient was 0.525(P<0.01); between milk production and hip breadth index, the correlation coefficient was 0.515(P<0.05).
