In this study, 60 Holstein dairy cow at the same age, birth order and lactation length were randomly divided into three groups. And there was no difference among three groups in milkyield. One group was randomly selected as con-trol group without feeding any probiotics premix. The other group feed XP w-hich was producted by American Dianvod V company. The last group feed PM starter, production of Korea PM company. The main ingredient of the XP was the yeast production. And that of the PM starter was alkali catio. The whole test was divided into two phases, one was pre-experiment which was 10 days and another one was formal experiment which was about 90 days. They were sampled on day 10, 40, 70 and 100. Determination of milk production each 5 day; milk fat percentage, milk protein, Somatic Cell Count, density , Freezing point and pH Value were measured respectively. The results showed that: XP and PM starter could promote cows'digestion and metabolism. And feed intake, milk yield were significantly increased by feeding XP and PM starter (P<0.05). XP as the yeast production was better than PM starter in improving milk yield, the main ingredient was alkali catio. XP could significantly increase milk protein (P<0.05). And there was no remarkable at increasing milk protein by feeding PM starter (P>0.05). XP and PM starter did not have effect on milk fat percentage, lactose, citrate and volatile fatty acid (P>0.05). PM starter was significantly better than XP at reducing the incidence of mastitis and Somatic Cell Count in milk.
