The experiment was done in Zhouzhi Shaanxi kiwifruit orchard from December 2006 to March 2008.In this paper, the seven-year-old Actinidia delicious Hayward was used as materials to study the effects of pre-harvest K application on kiwifruit storage-ability. The main results were as follows:1. In the same level with nitrogenous and phosphorous fertilizers, the results showed that proper potassium treatment improved kiwifruit quality and Storage-ability. It was that the flesh firmness and content of sugar soluble, Vitamin C increased, solid content was less than control. However, the highest K treatment made quality worse. the polar diameter and equatorial diameter and fresh weight of fruit were longer than control, which improved 1.09%~6.01%,2.08%~14.52% respectively when the application potassium fertilizers.2. In three separate period, the treatments in first bud germination had the best effect on fruits storage-ability, It was that the flesh firmness and content of sugar soluble, Vitamin C increased; The treatments in fruit expanding process improved content of sugar soluble at harvest. titratable acidity went down in the premature.3. The results showed that potassium treatment (311) improved kiwifruit quality and storage-ability at storage conditions. It was that the flesh firmness and content of sugar soluble, Vitamin C increased, titratable acidity decreased.4. Treatments of potassium of soil fertilization with spraying leaves improved kiwifruit quality and storage-ability at storage conditions. It was that the flesh firmness and content of sugar soluble, Vitamin C increased, titratable acidity decreased.5. The results suggest that the trend of content of potassium in the leaves of kiwifruit was consistent with of fruits storage-ability. Fruits storage-ability would be improved with content of potassium in the leaves increased. The treatment in potassium treatment had the best effect on fruits storage-ability and content of potassium in the leaves, Secondly with potassium of soil fertilization with spraying and in first bud germination.
