With the aim of offering scientific basis for their promotion and application, Photinia serru- lata,Photinia×fraseri'Red Robin'and Photinia glabra var. Robens are adopted to study the change of exterior characteristics, surviai rate as well as the physiological biochemistry characteristics under the waterlogging stress. The main results are shown as follows:(1)During the course of waterlogging experiment and the waterlogging stress and drain experiment, the leaves wilting, drying-up, reaction time of turning yellow on the different materials were different, change degree was also different. On the whole, from the exterior characteristics, the injury degree from the high to low was: all submerge waterlogging disposal> semi-submerge waterlogging disposal>control.(2)In the waterlogging stress experiment and the waterlogging stress and drain experiment, variance regular of Pn,Gs,Tr from the high to low was: all submerge waterlogging disposal> semi-submerge waterlogging disposal>control. Ci was contrary to it.(3)During the course of waterlogging stress experiment, the membrane permeability, soluble sugar content, proline content and MDA content increased, chlorophyll content and roots activities deceased for the three materials of the semi-waterlogging disposal and all submerge waterlogging disposal as the stress time went on. There was no significant chang regular for soluble protein as the stress time went on.During the waterlogging stress and drain experiment, the membrane permeability, proline content and soluble protein increased at the beginning then deceased, the chlorophyll content, soluble sugar content and roots activities deceased,MDA content increased as the stress time went on for the three materials of the all submerge waterlogging disposal.The membrane permeability, chlorophyll content, proline content,MDA content increased and roots activities deceased as the stress time went on for the three materials of the semi-submerge waterlogging disposal.(4)According to subordinate function analysis, the sequence of resisting to waterlogging stress was that, Photinia glabra var. Robens>Photinia serrulata> Photinia×fraseri'Red Robin'.
