The Plant Community is the basis of urban forest ecosystem and an important measuring index for the development level of urban forest, which is also the carrier and manifestation of plant landscape.By taking 40 plant communities in Yuquan county of Hohhot as the research object, plant community structure and assessment of landscape are studied on the basis of spot investigation and data collection. The corresponding technical measures such as choice and configuration of tree species are proposed to establish a complete research system of plant community structure and landscape evaluation, which can provide reference for constructing plant community in Yuquan county and Hohhot. The main content is studied as follows: Based on the former investigations, the theoretical system of plant community structure and landscape evaluation is discussed. By investigation and computation of assessment index, the result can be obtained that plant communities in Yuquan County are single in type and unreasonable in structure, because the basic tree species and main species account for too large ratio. The AHP method and SBE method are used to assess 40 plant communities in Yuquan County. The results that have consistency by two method shows that the plant communities in Yuquan county has the medium-inferior level as the result of too few plant landscape and too limited plant species. The solution is suggested according to the existing problem. Native plants with high enjoying value are made good use of to establish artificial plant community which is complete in structure , various type in landscape and similar with nature forest in species and community.
