Eucalyptus is the general name of myrtaceae eucalyptus. Australia, Indonesia and a few nearby islands are its origion. Eucalyptus has become the most important commercial forest of fast-growing alien species and planted in large area of Southern China because of its characteristics such as strong resistance, tolerance to drought and barren, wide adaptability, planting easily, strong sprout capacity and high yield. We have encountered many problems when developing fast-growing eucalyptus forest in large scale. Bacteria wilt of Eucalyptus is more serious. Therefore, finding suitable methods to control bacterial wilt of Eucalyptus by reasonable test is of great significance. The purpose of this paper is to study the inhibitory effect of probiotics on bacterial wilt of eucalyptus. A comprehensive study carried out on the growth effect and control effects of probiotics to Eucalyptus. The main results are as follows:1. Sampling from the field, separated and selected four strong pathogenic strain of bacterial wilt (â…¤-1-1,â…£-1-1,â…¤-1-2,â…¢-2-2), which strainâ…¤-1-1 is the strongest pathogenicity. By separating 24 fungal strains of the puffball categories, we found that the strains had different degrees of antagonism to the bacterial wilt. Azotobacteria strain N-3, phosphorus bacteria strain P15, potassium bacteria strains K4-3,K14 had antagonism in the test, but they still need further tests to verify.2. The 10 puffball categories fungal had different extent promotion effects to the growth of Eucalyptus seedlings by tests. Though measuring seedlings height, ground diameter and biomass for 3 months after vaccination, we found that seedlings height increased 14.5%-68.1% than the control, ground diameter increased 8.1% -49.7%, biomass (dry weight) increased 5.3% -58.8%. Superior strains of good growth effects to Eucalyptus were selected according to the seedlings biomass, height increment of seedlings and base diameter increment. The strain 1-6, 2-1, 2-3, 5-6 were the superior strain by comprehensive comparison. The 11 probiotics combination had different levels promotion effects to the growth of Eucalyptus seedlings by tests. Though Measuring seedlings height, ground diameter and biomass for 3 months after vaccination, we found that seedlings height increased 21.7%-62.7% than the control, ground diameter increased 13.8%-48.8%, biomass (dry weight) increased 2.3%-88.3%. Superior strains combination of good growth effects to Eucalyptus were selected according to the seedlings biomass, height increment of seedlings and base diameter increment. The strain combination Z-3, Z-5, Z-8, Z-4, Z-2, Z-11 was superior. 3. Mycorrhizal seedlings were formed by vaccinating different kinds of puffball fungal and probiotics combination to Eucalyptus seedlings. In the conditions of vaccinating the Pseudomonas solancearum, the mortality and disease indices of bacterial wilt were reduced, or the invasion stage of bacterial wilt were delayed. Most of strains could reduce the occurrence of eucalyptus bacterial wilt except some strains. The earliest disease incidence of Eucalyptus seedlings which had been vaccinated puffball categories fungal could delay 2-9 days and the mortality rate could reduce 6.7%-40% than the control, disease indices reduce 9.1%-40.8%. Strains 5-6,1-6, 6-1,2-1,4-1 had better protection effects. The earliest disease incidence of Eucalyptus seedlings which that had been vaccinated probiotics combination could delay 1-9 days and the mortality rate could reduce 20%-46.6% than the control, disease indices reduce 15%-46.6%. Strains combination Z-4, Z-3, Z-8, Z-5, Z-6, Z-9 had better protection effects. Therefore, after field tests, the situations that the disease areas and distribution areas of bacterial wilt are increasing year by year will be improved in part using Eucalyptus mycorrhizal seedlings afforestation. This method is also one of the effective and feasible ways to control the bacterial wilt of Eucalyptus at present.
