In this paper,we studied interspecies competition dynamic consumption in caloric value and batch dynamic of seven main species in the course of the restoring succession in degenerated community in Inner Mongolia typical steppe using the exclusion method, determination of caloric value and plot-belt method. The experimental results are as follows:1. As the changing of the restoration succession, the competition of plants is a dynamic process and the intensity of competition intensifying. It shows that competition is the driving force of prairie community for the higher competition indensity, the greater effect on competition, the more energy consumption for competition.2. As the change of the restoration succession, communities that exists both interspecies competition and intraspecies competition. The order of the competition for the seven main species at the edge of batch in the restored field are as follows: Leymus chinens> Stipa grandi> Agropyron michno> Carex korshinsky> Artemisia frigid, this order is consistent with competitive superior order of the replacement of dominant species. The results indicates that it dose exists the hierarchy of competition and is changing with the environment.3. All of the dominant species have theirs patchs in restoration succession process. Succession is achieved through competition, whereas, competition is realized through the expansion of the patch. Patch can be shared with other populations to complete the mission of occuping space for it can organize the individual within population.
