With the fastening of the steps of"new countryside construction",how to enrich the peasants in the countryside is the main content of the"contruction of harmony society". By the end of 2004,the tongchuan government and communist committee issued《the decision about the construction of million mu fruit forest》,and took the walnut as the main tree species.Tongchuan have walnut forest od 0.6 million up to now, and have a primary scale development. But the high quality is very few, in wich 90% is low productivity. The reason is mainly that old variety: stable but not high yield, stable but not early yield, high yield but not stable, high yield stable but not high quality,some never yield,all of which seriously restrict the development the of walnut industry. So, how to improve the nowdays low productive walnut is the emergent question to our forestry government.To this situation, the tongchuan central nursery, as the biggest seedling production base in the areas, has study the question for a long time. Thrugh the improve the traditional budding methods,have improved 0.6 million iof walnut(juglans regia l.)Seedling,which the survival rate reached 85%,and the averaged heigt of 70cm,also growing healthy,woody,stumpy. And summarized a series of walnut grafting methods in open areas in tongchuan condition, which guaranteed the walnut improvement project in tongchuan.The experiment mainly purposed the improvement of chip budding in open land——single cut chip budding. The method has the character of high survival rate,lower cost,easy operation,and can get a very dood result if use the stimulate of"plant power2003"in the later management.The study use the contrast of (1)"t"budding,four cut budding(square budding),chip budding,one cut chip budding to investigate the different result(2)use the one year old and twe year old seedling to compare the different(3)use the middle may, middle june, middle july to compare the different(4)use the different density of0.5‰,1.0‰,1.5‰of"plant power2003"to compare the different (5) use the"plant power2003"in five budding methods to compare the different survival rate(6) use the"plant power2003"in five budding methods to comparethe growth and the cost.The experiment using the random design and 4 repeat.every repeathave 25 seedings,and with the 100 seedling in every treatment,which can avoid the purposely design. The result show that(:1)using theone year old seedling, budding in middle may, and one cut chip budding,the survival rate can reach 85% ,which is high than 33% of"t"budding, is high than 20% of square budding, is high than 10% of chip budding.at the meantime,decreased the cost,and easy to operate.(2)using the 1.0‰"plant power2003"to spray after the budding, can increase the survival rate of1% in"t"budding, 3% in four cut budding, 1% in chip budding, 4% in one cut chip budding and has no significant different with the warmed bed grafting,and increased the heigt of the plant.
