The forest landscape is one kind of natural sceneries,which in a particular space-time point of view recall to the main forest vegetation. In recent years, forest landscape of the principal targets of computer modeling and visualization technology into ecology, forest management, natural geography, botany, and other areas of a hotspot. The GIS three dimensional visualization functions of the forest landscape visible expression provide an effective tool in the visualization of forest resources management is widely used.This article takes the Qinling Huoditang forest farm as the study area, according to the Forest Inventory information and the results of previous studies, uses database technology, RS and GIS technologies, mainly on Forest Landscape 3D visualization research. To sum up the current market simulation softwares and plant plugin identify simulated trees, find out the optimal forest software platforms or plug-in, then simulation the 3D visualization of Forest Landscape of forest farm, for suppling services of the operation management of forest resources, teaching and research.Through this research, with the following main conclusions:(1) The establishment of the database (graphics, images, Statistical data), for the forest resource of the farm monitoring and sustainable management laid the foundation;(2) Three dimensional visible result of forest landscape which establish by DEM and the remote sensing numeral picture, provides the method for macroscopic and the fast monitor forest landscape change;(3) The forest landscape visualization result, which base on DEM and Forest map, compensates for the lack of resolution remote sensing images of information distortion. There will be a good application prospect in the forestry production; (4) The forest landscape three-dimensional display system Sets up by ERDAS Imagine, can realize the spatial attribute inquiry and the statistical analysis, two and three dimensional interactive browsing and the visual effect of "sees obtained namely", has provided the means for digitization and the visible management of the forest farm.
