Because of the natural conditions especially the weather, climate conditions and the traditional conception, Inner Mongolia grassland has always harvested autumn grass and withered grass to solve the problem of feeding livestock in winter and spring for years. But these kinds of forage grass were lack of nutrition. Summer hay grass production has rich nutritional value and the available period of renewable grassland could be extended for 20 days in Inner Mongolia Grassland. Therefore, there will be great economic benefit to produce summer hay grass for livestock production in Inner Mongolia Grassland. With the advance of technology, there will be a considerable development for the scale technology of summer hay grass production.Because of the problem of seasonal nutritional imbalance for Inner Mongolia grassland livestock production, the author obtained large number of first-hand data from the point of view of weather climate, adopting parallel observation, field investigation and indoor and outdoor test methods and means. And the author analyzed the first-hand data and the related data and results owned through conducting mathematical statistic and comparative measure. The author did research systematically on the best mowing period of natural grass, relation among summer hay modulation, storage and nutrition preservation and weather and climate conditions, the impact of mowing summer grass on the grassland ecosystems, summer grass fattening lambs etc. The author put forward that the Inner Mongolia grasslands with humidity more than 0.3 degree per year is natural climatic region for summer hay production. According to the natural forage yield and nutrient accumulation law, the period of highest total harvest for the area of nutrient, higher renewable yield and the accumulation of plasticity nutrition material, and principles of grassland soil nutrient balance and climatic resources being fully utilized. The author drew a conclusion that the best mowing natural pasture and modulation period was from the mid-July to mid-August in Inner Mongolia. The author established moisture loss monitoring rate forecasting model in the drying process of ground grass mowed according the water potential of air. And the author did the comparative test study to reveal the relationship among the loss of nutrients in the process of mowed grass surface drying and the water potential energy in the air, solar radiation intensity, and rainfall and sunshine hours. Through studying about consecutive moving summer grass, autumn grass and summer autumn grass round clipping, the changes of leisure round test district pasture population structure, biomass, plant which constructed the pasture stem's wall thickness and soil fertility, the author put forward the round clipping system to maintain grassland ecosystems well circle. During the serious period of turning off fat, through summer hay grass and autumn hay grass supplementary feeding test, we conclude that under grazing condition Mongolian lamb's weight increased quicker fed by summer hay grass than the autumn hay grass, and summer hay grass has same effect with refined forage in supplementary feeding (the Mongolian lamb'weight can gain 1kg thorough be fed 6kg hay grass).The study results provide a scientific basis for the full use of grassland climate resources, changing traditional use of natural grassland, raising economic efficiency of grassland livestock production. There will be broad promotion prospects to utilize the results of the study in pastoral areas.
