The Relationship Between Nitrogen Forms And The Quality Of Potato

The aim of this study is to instigate the effects of nitrogen forms on potato quality under field condition. Kexin in No.1 was used in the research. Nitrate concentration, nitrate reductase activity in leaf from the potato seedling stage to the starch accumulation stage and nitrate concentration, nitrate reductase activity, starch, protein, reducing sugar and tuber yields from the tuber initiation stage to the mature stage of potato tubers were determined under treatments of different forms of nitrogen.The results showed that:The nitrate concentration of potato tubers and leaves showed a downward trend in the whole growth period, but the lower rates is inconsistency. The application of different forms of nitrogen are related to the accumulation of nitrate in the leaves of potatoes. No matter what form of the application of nitrogen are beneficial nitrate accumulation in the potato tuber, and the nitrate accumulation at the application of nitrate more than the application of ammonium. The treatment of adding nitrification inhibitors in ammonium can significantly reduce the nitrate content of the leaves of potatoes, and it played a certain role to reduce the nitrate content in the leaf, and it had no significant effect to the nitrate content of the tubers. Protein and reducing sugar content of potato tubers were gradually decreasing in the whole growth period, and starch content was a growing trend in the whole growth period. The nutritional quality of potatoes is related to the different nitrogen forms. Which the three nutrition indicators are highest with applied nitrate, single application of ammonium nitrogen and adding dicyandiamide are middling, and the control are lowest. Different nitrogen forms had great impact on the potato yield. Which the potato production was the best with applied nitrate fertilizer, single application of ammonium and adding dicyandiamide are center and there were no significant difference between them, and the control was the lowest and it had very significant difference with the other three handles.
