Establishing Urben greenland by the plant with drought resistance will relax the lack of water in city. Screening out the plant with enduring drought and expending water smaller is playing an important role in reducing maintain and overhead expenses, protecting entironment and saving water resource. In this study,we mensurated the drought resistance of Iris lactea var. chinensis,Iris tectorum,Viola philippica,Hemerocallis fulva,Chrysanthemum morifolium,Dianthus chinensis,Duchesnea indica,Parthenocissus quinquefolia,Rosa chinensis,Gaillardia aristata,Arundinella hirta,Stipa tenuissima,Festuca glauca,Calamagrostis brachytricha,Sedum spectabile by lysimeter .The result shows that the biomass index of 15 kinds of Ground cover plants are different significantly (p=0.05)in the different treatment under irrigation。Based on water-saving, and without prejudice to the principle of viewing garden,15 kinds of Ground cover plants will be divided into three types。Viola philippica,Duchesnea indica are adequate irrigation;Hemerocallis fulva,Dianthus chinensis,Gaillardia aristata,Chrysanthemum morifolium,Arundinella hirta,Calamagrostis brachytricha,Stipa tenuissima,Festuca glauca,Iris tectorum,Parthenocissus quinquefolia,Rosa chinensis are Mild-control irrigation;Iris lactea var. chinensis,Sedum spectabile are depth control of irrigation。After determining the drought-resistant index(DI)of 15 kinds of Ground cover plants shows that the drought-resistant of Sedum spectabile,Iris lactea var. chinensis,Dianthus chinensis,Iris tectorum is strong(DI>20);Hemerocallis fulva,Parthenocissus quinquefolia,Chrysanthemum morifolium,Festuca glauca,Gaillardia aristata,Viola philippica are weaker(10
