Dactylis glomerate L.(common orchardgrass) is one of the most important member of the Gramineous genus Dactylis.Sixteen orchardgrass accessions were collected.With "Baoxing", "Anba","Chuandong","Gulin" as CK.,the materials were evaluated and studied in terms of productivity,nutrition and drought physiological,which gave the good suggestions of lucubrating the breeding and exploiting of Dactylis glomerata L.Main results obtained are as follows:1 The yield character of the twenty accessions was significantly different.The hay yield ranged from22219.77kg/hm~2 to 28323.34kg/hm~2(according to the mean yield from 2004 to 2007).The hay yield were YA02-116>02123>YA01-103>01472>01475>YA91-2>YA02685>01819>01823>YA01-101>01076>01824>01071>01821>YA02-105>YA05-262>01076>YA79-9>YA02-117>YA01-104.The hay yield of accession YA02-116 was the highest among all the accessions,amounting to 28323.34kg/hm~2.Which increase by 11.66%and 23.36% than that of D.glomerata L.cv.Baoxing and D.glomerata L.cv.Amba.And 02123,YA01-103,01472,01475 had good yield also.On the other hand,D.glomerata L.cv.Amba is popular forage in China as a registered cultivar,but the yield character is poor in the area of southwest in Sichuan province,and which is not the good choice for forage production in southwest of Sichuan province. The leaf-stem ratio of accessions ranged from 0.750 to 1.104.The 02123 was the highest one,and "gulin" was the lowest one.Fresh- hay ratio of samples ranged from 0.287 to 0.309,and no diversity between each sample.2 Six Dactylis glomerata L.accessions which had the good yield performance were analyzed on nutrition.The result showed that nutrition of Dactylis glomerata L.was affected by cutting frequent.The crude protein content of reproduction grass had an obvious decrease,while ADF and NDF increased.Totol nutrition of the first cutting was superior to the reproduction grass.The result was analyzed by Subordinate Function Values Analysis.It indicated that the nutrition of 02-116 and 01-101 were better that CK("Baoxing").3 The drought tolerance of nine Dactylis glomerata L.new Lines were analyzed in this article,with "baoxing","anba" and "chuandong" as control.It indicated that both RWC,relative plasmalemma permeability,contents of praline,MDA,CAT,POD and chlorophyll could be used for the test of drought tolerance.Twenty accessions can be clustered into three groups.The result indicated that 01-101,01-103 and "bao xing" were the best materials in drought tolerance.And 01475,02123 and 2006-1 had a good drought tolerance also.4 The affection of ABA in Dactylis glomerata L.drought tolerance analyzed in this article, with "baoxing" as control.It indicated that the antioxidant enzyme system was affected by ABA. Good antioxidant was represented on ABA-treated plants,especially on 3mg/L and 6mg/L ABA-treated plants.And 10mg/L ABA-treated plants had higher enzyme activities at prophase. The results suggested that ABA-treated associated with the drought tolerant.
