| In order to decrease the finisher feeding cost in the terminal period of fattening Cherry Valley meat duck in Dongying area of Shandong Province, the two feeding trials were conducted in the present study.Firstly, the effect of different levels of protein and energy on the fattening performance of meat duck was investigated.Subsequently,a performance trial with two-phase and three-phase,respectively,was conducted to explore the effect of the two feeding regimens on the growth performance of Cherry Valley meat duck, and on the economic interests of the duck rising. The main results were shown as follows:Experiment1.This experiment was designed based on the 3 ME and CP level(0-14d, the ME is 2.9Mcal/kg,2.8Mcal/kg,2.7Mcal/kg respectively,CP is 20.2%,18.7%,17.2%, respectively;15-25d,the ME is 3.05Mcal/kg,2.95Mcal/kg,2.85Mcal/kg,respectively,and the CP is 18.5%,17%,15.5%;26-42d,ME is 3.1Mcal/kg,3.0Mcal/kg,2.9Mcal/kg respectively, and the CP is 17.2%,15.7%,14.2%).There are 27 formulas in total.1575 SM3 meat duck was allocated to 9treatments of 5 replicates, and ducks of each treatment was provided with the diet of each formula. The body weight at market and feed conversion ratio were measured, result based on the two-way ANOVA showed that:the body weight at market(42d) of duck in high, middle and low ME group was 3266.67±15.27g,3220.00±50g,3163.33±115.9g,respectively,and there was no significant difference among all the treatments.2) The body weight of ducks at 42d of age in high, middle and low CP group was 3246.67±30.55g,3253.33±28.86,3150±111.35g, respectively, and there was no significant difference in body weight among all the treatments, ducks in high and middle CP groups showed increasing trend, compared with low CP group;3) ducks in high ME and CP showed the highest body weight, reached 3280±20.10g,and low ME and CP showed the lowest growth rate, with the body weight of 3030±14.30g,which was significantly lower than that of high ME and CP group;4)The feed conversion ratio was significantly lower in high and middle ME than low ME(2.19, 2.23 vs 2.30)(p<0.05),the feed conversion ratio was not affected by the CP level, and the high ME and CP showed the lowest feed conversion ratio among the treatments.5) The best economical benefit was got in the middle ME and CP group, and there was the lowest economical return in low ME and CP.The present study showed that the diet at high protein and energy level was an optimal nutrition formula needed for meant ducks, The optimal nutrient requirement is:CP19%,ME 2.8Mcal/kg,middle-term,CP17%, ME2.95Mcal/kg,late-term,CP15.5%,ME3.0 Mcal/kg.Experiment 2 was conducted according to the two or three phase to determine the effect of raising model on the growth performance.T test was employed on the average daily gain, feed consumption and feed conversion ratio. The results of present study showed:1) there was no significant difference in survival ratio between the control and treatment group(98.25%vs 99%);2) there is no significant difference in market weight(at age 42) between control and treatment group(3.5kg vs 3.54kg);3) during the middle raising period, the feed conversion ratio in treatment group is significantly lower compared with control group(2.04:1 vs 1.87:1),there was no significant difference in the feed conversion ratio between the control and treatment group during the whole period of experiment;4) the economical benefit in treatment group was significantly higher, compared with control group(1.36 yuan/duck vs 1.24 yuan/duck).The result of present study suggested that although there is no significant difference in the growth performance between control and treatment group, the two-phase raising model is better than three-phase model based on the economical benefit. |
