Effect Of Different Energy And Protein Levels In Diet Feeding On Growth Performance, Dressed Carcass Target And Economic Efficiency For Ducks

Abstract/Summary:
This study used a mixture of male and female day-old Cherry Valley Meat Duck 3000 birds were randomly divided into six treatments with five replicates of 100 birds, to ensure consistent initial body weight (P> 0.05). Test with 3×2 experimental design, dietary energy settings of high, medium and low levels of protein to set high and low levels, feed costs combined with the meat processing costs and gross profit-making.42-day trial period, to explore the different energy and protein levels on the Ducks performance, carcass quality and economic benefit. Test in 14 days,28 days and 42 days of fasting ducks were weighed and feed intake of Statistics to calculate the daily feed intake, daily gain, feed conversion and weight. When the duck every 42 days to slaughter for slaughter repeated test taking 10 indicators to calculate the carcass. Experimental data using SAS software processing, the use of SAS software in the ANOVA analysis of variance, using Duncan method for multiple comparisons of the mean. The results showed that:(1)energy levels on the Ducks in the feed intake and feed conversion was significantly affected (P<0.05), in a certain range of concentration of energy, on the average daily gain (growth rate) is not significant; protein levels on the Ducks in the intake, feed conversion and daily weight gain was not significant, but significant (P<0.01) of 0-14 day-old Ducks in the productivity. (2) energy levels on the Ducks in the abdominal fat percentage was significantly affected (P<0.05). Increased protein levels can increase the Ducks in the carcass quality. (3)The test results, Ducks energy and protein levels at different stages for the 0-14 age ME11.51MJ/kg, CP20%,15-28 days ME11.71MJ/kg, CP17%,29-42 days ME11.92MJ/kg, CP15%, you can achieve better economic efficiency.
