Two experiments were designed to study the effects of Yikang XP and Yeast Culture on heat stress and digestion and metabolism and its mechanism of action in perinatal dairy cows and goats,respectively.1.The effect of Yikang XP and yeast culture on heat stress in perinatal dairy cows36 perinatal Holstein cows were selected, which have similar body weight, age, lactation period and milk yield.36 cows were divided into three group:control group Yikang XP group (added 5 g/d Yikang XP in the mixed concentrate p) and Yeast Culture group(added 60 g/d yeast culture in the mixed concentrate); The duration of experiment was 60 days. The results indicated as follow:under the heat stress condition, when added Yikang XP in the mixed concentrate,it decreased the breath rate in the morning in week 3 and week 4 and the breath rate in the evening in week 2,3,5,6,7 and 9(P>0.05),and it decreased the rectal temperature in the morning from week 1 to week 5 and the rectal temperature in the evening in week 2,3,7 and 8(P>0.05); When added yeast culture in the mixed concentrate,in decreased the breath rate in week 1,2,3, 4,5,7 and 9 and the rectal temperature in the morning in week 2,3,7 and 8(P>0.05),and it decreased the breath rate in the evening in week 2,3 and 7 and the rectal temperature in the evening in week 5,7 and 8.When added Yikang XP and yeast culture in the mixed concentrate, there were no significant difference for AKP,TP,ALB and UN of serum in dairy cows during the whole experiment period(P>0.05),the GLU concentration,on day 15 of yeast culture treatment was significantly lower than that of control treatment(P<0.05=,the concentration of AKP and GLU on day 15 of both XP and yeast culture treatment was the highest during the whole experiment period, the concentration of AKP was 53.76%and 104.86%,60.79%and 79.03%,33.56%and 108.33%and the concentration of GLU was 32.80%and 8.81%,50.54% and 0.72%,122.13%and 9.72%higher than that on pre-feeding period, day 15 and day 30 after parturition, respectively;the concentration of TP and UN was the highest on day 30 after parturition, the concentration of TP was 4.43%and 2.72%,9.06%.and 5.02%,7.74%and 2.62% and the concentration of UN was 17.46%and 16.70%,7.87%and 6.39%,26.01%and 1.34% higher than that on pre-feeding period, day 15 and day 15 after parturition;the concentration of ALB was the highest on pre-feeding period, which was 18.93%and 7.85%,26.09%and 13.71%, 24.60%and 16.64%higher than that on day 15,day 15 and day 30 after parturition. There were no significant difference for T4,PRL,COR and PGI of blood serum in dairy cows in XP and yeast culture treatment on pre-feeding stage, day 15 and day 30 after parturition(P>0.05).The concentration of T4,PRL,COR and PGI was the highest on pre-feeding stage in XP and yeast culture treatment, the concentration of T4 was 73.11%and 21.89%,106.36%and 55.48%higher than that on day 15 and day 30 after parturition, the concentration of PRL was 43.74%and 31.48%,35.73%and 8.72%than that on day 15 and day 30 after parturition, the concentration of PGI was 202.50%and 72.38%,106.36%and 55.48%higher than that on day 15 and day 30 after parturition;the concentration of COR was highest on day 30 after parturition, which was 33.48% and 0.76%,23.76%and 22.96%higher than that on pre-feeding stage and day 15 after parturition. There was no significant difference for nutrients levels of the milk in XP and yeast culture treatment during week 1 to 4(P>0.05).There was a decreasing tendency for the concentration of TP,GLU and BUN of the milk in XP and yeast culture treatment, and this was different for the concentration of ALP and ALB,the concentration of ALP was higher than that in control treatment during week 2 to 4 after parturition(P>0.05),but the concentration of ALB was lower than that in control treatment(P<0.05).2.The effect of Yikang XP and yeast culture on digestion and metabolism in goats. Three ruminally and duoduodenally fistulated goats were used in a 3×3 Latin square experiment to study the effect of Yikang XP and yeast culture on ruminal environment, ruminat degradability, digestion and metabolism and blood biochemical parameters.Designed three diets: control,Yikang XP and yeast culture treatments, the Yikang XP and yeast culture were added into the mix concentrate of the control treatment according to the Exp 1 calculated by the metabolism body weight between dairy cows and goats. The experiment finished for three periods and each period contain 20 days. The results were as follow:when added Yikang XP and yeast culture into the mix concentrate, the pH value was evident decreased firstly and then rised, which were in the normal range(6.06~6.56),it could stabilize the ruminal pH value;the concentration of ammonia nitrogen changed between 13.03 mg/dl and 33.94mg/dl,which was in the best concentration range reported by other references and there were no differences significantly for the concentration of acetic acid, propanoic acid, isobutyric acid, butyric acid, isopropylacetic adcid, butylcarboxylic acid and the ratio of acetic acid and propanoic acid(P>0.05).There was no significant difference for the rumen degradation parameter of DM,CP and NDF and effective degradability(P>0.05);there was no significant difference for the duodenal flow of DM,CP,OM and NDF and the flow of duodenal amico acids(P>0.05) when added Yikang XP and yeast culture, the duodenal flow of Arg,Ile,Leu,Phe and Val in essential amino acids was 2.13%and 21.28%,5.88%and 29.41%,4.62%and 18.46%,4.17%and 14.58%, 9.76%and 29.27%higher than that of the control treatment. There was no significant difference for the concentration of Alp,Glu,TG,TP,CHO and BUN in XP and yeast culture treatment(P>0.05),the concentration of AMY increased progressively by the feeding time. The concentration of Alp in the XP and yeast culture treatment was not affected((P>0.05)),its average concentration was between 71.50 to 105.61 U/L,and it was highest after fed for 10 hours, which was 187.00 U/L and 74.33 U/L respectively;the concentration of Glu was slightly affected by the addition of XP and yeast culture, its variation range was between 3.01 mmol/L and 4.07mmol/L;the variation tendency of the concentration of TG was similar to the tendency of Glu after fed for 10 hours, its daily variation range between 0.15 mmol/L and 0.36 mmol/L,it did not change regularly by the time after fed;the variation tendency of the concentration of CHO was slightly affected by the addition of XP and yeast culture, which was between 2.05 mmol/L and 2.34 mmol/L after fed for 10 hours;there was no difference significantly for the concentration of U on each time spot and the average concentration(P>0.05),the daily variation range was between 8.07 mmol/L and 9.55 mmol/L after fed for 10 hours.
