21 F1 hybrids were confected by seven inbred lines of bitter melon based on half-diallel design in the experiment. Combining ability, genetic parameter heterosis performance, heterosis prediction, correlation analysis, principal components analysis were studied, The main results were as follows:P3×P7 and P1×P6 had the best heterosis for yield and Vc ,the MPH and HPH were 109.69%, 35.87% and 57.78%, 24.07%, respectively. Yield, fruit number, leaf area had the larger range for performance of heterosis, then were fruit weight, node of 1st female flower and Vc content. Yield, fruit weight, fruit number had the largest portion for positive heterosis in all crosses, fruit thickness were the smallest.Seven inbred lines can separated two hererosis groups based on morphological traits for genetic distance, the results indicated that inter-group had the better performance than intre-group, genetic distance were not the far the better.13 characters were significant in the present study. parent line P3 were the best performance in fruit diameter, fruit thickness, fruit number were significant for GCA effects; P3×P7, P1×P6 were the best cross in yield, Vc content, respectively.Genetic parameters indicated that fruit length, fruit diameter, fruit thickness, day to 1st male flower, main stem diameter were main additive effect; Fruit weight, yield, day to 1st famale flower node of 1st female flower were main non-additive effect; Fruit number, yields in early days, Vc content were not only non-additive effect, but also additive effect.GGE-biplot results were almost consencious with Griffing method in combining ability analysis, expeciously, parent characters, combining ability, best cross, and character interaction can indicated with figs in biplot analysis.The results of principal components analysis showed accumulative variance contribution of the fist three principal components was 74.87%, they indicated yield components, precocialism, fruit length, respectively. Fruit number, fruit weigh, main stem diameter, fruit diameter were positive sinificient with yield.
