Twelve Gansu wether crossbred sheep(average weight 25±5 kg) fitted with permanently cannlas were used for a four different diets to study dynamic of methane and carbon dioxide with respond of ruminal microorganism from indoor-fed sheep.through determining the ruminal fermentation products and comparing the effects of different managements on fermentation, methane and carbon dioxide, the proper result of adding ground corn and coconut oil to improve fermentation characteristic, decrease methane production is established.Combining with Tunnel technique for evaluating the dynamic and flux of methane and carbon dioxide is reliable, especially focusing on in-door fed ruminant animal. Also from macroscopical and microcosmic aspects,we evaluated the influence of different tradement on fermentation characteristic, methane and carbon dioxide products in vitro.Furthermore, the current gas chromatogram was substituted by Non-dispersed Infrared(NDIR) Gas Sensors which can be adapting to monitor the concentration of methane and carbon dioxide at the real time.Even giving the more exactly releasing characteristic of methane and carbon dioxide about ruminant from indoor-fed livestock, the main result are showed as follows:The three diets that added to ground corn or coconut oil reduced the methane production at different degree(p<0.01),emission of methane is 16.4g/d,12.8 g/d,5.7 g/d,4.1 g/d based on four differing diets in sequence, respectively, decreased by 21.9%,65.2%,75%and there are three distinct high points peak methane output occurred about 22:00,while lowest output occurred at 0:00.In contrast to methane output, the output of carbon dioxide concentration was relatively stable(P>0.05), which suggested that the dynamic output patterns of methane and carbon dioxide were not parallel. However, both ground corn and coconut oil were appended was not the most significant as being predicted but the diet of supplementing coconut oil.Rumen pH decreased with the supplement of ground corn or coconut oil from 6.96 to 6.15 and compared to O,OC is significant(p<0.01),but OG is no difference. Rumen ammonia-N mainly derived from microbial degradation dietary protein descended due to adding of ground corn or coconut oil but increasing in microbial protein production.Average concentration of ammonia-N dropped from 11.94 to 3 mg/100ml and the microbial protein production increased by 0.73 to 1.22 mg/ml and O is no difference with OGC(p>0.05),however,compared to them,OC and OG suggested significantly, the same as microbial protein production.Rumen volatile fatty acids,OC showed the lowest concentration of acetate about 29.14mmol/L,which was significant with O and OG(p<0.01).The highest concentration of propionate was suggested in OC on 26.27mmol/L,the significance was similar to acetate(p<0.01),the ratio of acetate and propionate decreased following the appending ground corn or coconut oil, among the four diets OGC(1.32) was apparently differed with O and OG(p<0.01 ),and differed with OC(p<0.05).Emission of rumen methane in ruminal animal was effected by many elements, such as kind of livestock, type of diets, environment, level of feeding and so forth. In allusion to different condition, ruminal livestock, methods in different countries, they were widely researched by scientists. In this paper,by adding ground corn and coconut oil, productive capability can be promoted, furthermore, reducing the emission of greenhouse gas(GHG) from ruminant.
