Study On Choice And Application Of Tree Species In Urban Road Planting Of Baotou City

Because roads are the structure of a city,landscape of roads is the main part of city green system.The main materials of landscape are trees which can beautify,protect and improve environment.The landscape changing and lessons analysis of roads in Baotou from 50 years came to the following conclusions:1.The tree selection rules for road landscape:mainly use local tree species,appropriately arrange trees in different areas combine with foreign species introduction.Mainly use stress resistance species combine with ornamental characters.Mainly use arbors,but integrate shrubs.Mainly use fast-growing species combine with slow-growing species and long life term species.The manage of species selection,scheme and maintain combine with exercisable and science combine with arts.2.The road landscape species investigation and synthetically analysis in Baotou suggested that Sabina chinensis,Pinus sylvestris,Pinus thunbergii,Populus hopeiensis, Sophora japonica,Saxlix babylonica,Fraxinus rhynchophyl,Gleditsia japonica,Rosa xaanthina,Syringa vulgaris,Prumus triloba and Forsythia suspense are main species.3.Based on the analysis of scheme model and requirement of species,it concluded that the following relationships should be considered in arranging species appropriately: equilibrium and stable,the main part and affiliated,the contrast and harmony,the gradus and rhythm,the proportion and scale.4.The restrictive factors of landscape species growth and survival in the city are water, soil,environment pollution,disease and insects.The resistance to cold,drought,pollution, and insects,especially for Aromia,must be take into account seriously in species selection.The practical,feasible theories and methods have been provided for road landscape in Baotou city though above research.
