In this research, RS-F523, an avirulent strain of Ralstonia solanacearum was tested for its effects to host plant tomato and its direct suppression to RS-F052, a high virulent strain of Ralstonia solanacearum. In addition, some physiological and biochemical changes of plant were analyzed after inoculated with RS-F523.Main findings are as follows:1. RS-F523 doesn't cause bacterial wilt on tomato.2. 24 h after inoculated by RS-F523, RS-F052 was re-inoculated to tomato. Results showed that RS-F523 can increase the resistant ability of tomato to bacterial wilt, significantly delay the symptom and lower disease-index on plant.3. Challenging growth and suppression experiments illuminated that RS-F523 have no direct inhibiting on the growth of RS-F052.4. Some systemic aquired resistance related indexes (SOD, POD, CAT, PAL, PPO, hydroxybenzene, chlorophyl and H2O2) were measured after inoculated with RS-F523. Results showed that RS-F523 may induce SAR of tomato plant via the outbreak and the metabolism of the reactive oxygen species.5. Both total protein amount and its SDS-PAGE character change after inoculated with RS-F523. The changes also may be associated with the SAR.
