With 9 parents by diallel crosses of 20 for the combination of materials, heterosis and genetic effects were researched on the capsaicin. The genetic differences between F1 and its parent lines in hot pepper were studied using RAPD markers,The results showed that:1.the average numerical value of centrotaxis heterosis is small, and the emergence of positive heterosis of 3 combinations is not obvious. So it is inadvisable to using the heterosis to heighten the content of capsaicin.2.The contents of capsaicin is controlled not only by additive effect but also by non-additive effects. It is mainly controlled by additive effect,however,non-additive effect can't be neglected.3.In the breeding of heightening the content of capsaicin,we should take both general combining ability(GCA) and special combining ability(SCA) into account.4.In the breeding high capsaicin content of pepper varieties,we should choose the high content capsaicin as the parent,at the same time,we should also pay attention to the dominate effect, the Epistatic effect, and the effect of special combining ability(SCA).5.The genetic differences between F1 and its parent lines in hot pepper were studied using RAPD markers. The results showed that RAPD production, amplified by most primers,of F1 were the same as both or one parent line. But amplified with the primer S320,one DNA product presented in RAPD patterns of both parents, but absent in that of F1.And when amplified with the primer S203,one DNA product absent in RAPD patterns of both parents, but presented in that of F1.This suggested that gene mutation maybe occur in the fertilization process after crossing the parents to obtain F1.
