Resource investigation of Nature Reserve is the promises of biodiversity protection and bio-resource exploitation and utilization;and it also is the foundation platform of science research and knowledge popularization. In this program, the biodiversity of soil nematode community was systemic investigated in Gaoligong Mountains of Yunnan Provinces in order to understand the basic distribution pattern of soil nematode along altitudinal gradients.12 shade lands from elevation 960 m to 3188 m of Gaoligong Mountains were selected to research the soil nematode community, including plant association of shade land and others characteristic, main soil property, and identifing these soil nematode specimens.1.The soil nematode includes 1 phylum,Nematoda;2 class,Secernentea,Adenophorea;9 order;28 family;79 genus. The dominant genera is Iotonchus and Aporcelairnus,The common genera is Doryllium,Tylencholaimus,Mesodorylaimus,Eudorylaimus and Tripyla, and so on.2.During different vegetable groups, the generas and individual of Nematodes are more during the broad-leaved forest, coniferous and broadleat forest and farmland. In the wet evergreen broad-leaved forest of the medium altitude region of 2021 meter,it is highest and droped gradually upward or downward hillside.Otherwise, because the farmland is disturbed, the generas and individual are obviously increased.3.Organisms individual and groups of soil fauna in different soil depth layer decrease as the soil depth increase at different samples except for some samples which soil nematode was more in second layer than first layer.4.The soil property was determined by altitudinal gradient in the Gaoligong Mountains.Soil temperature, water content, organic content and phosphorus content were correlation with altitudinal gradient significantly(P<0.05).With altitude higher, the soil temperature was lower, water content was less, phosphorus content was higher and organic content was higher.5.We conclude that the pattern of soil nematodes distribution along an altitudinal gradient may be affected by a variety of factors.Among all soil factors investigated, there is mainly nitrogen concentration correlating with nematode population density(F=0.628,p=0.038).
