Study On Tending And Thinning Of Aerial Forest In Shannxi

The afforestation of aerial seeding is one of important ways in our province, which cultivate a large number of reserved forest resources. However, the work of aerial seeding afforestation is influenced by many factors. The benefits of ecological, social and economic have been seriously affected. Therefore, we need to analyze the current situation, find out all factors and combined with the current forestry practical, in order to carry out a scientific measure.On the basis of extensively reading the relevant literatures and field investigation, this study analyses present state and problems of thinning density and carries out effective measures and proposals. These is great significance to our work of thinning density.The results show that:1 .Thinning density not only be able to adjust the stand structure, improve stand quality and ensure the forest health, but also to improve living conditions of local residents, the increase in property income, and promote regional economic development2.With the deep reform and development of the system of collective forest property system, The majority of farmers will be the main part of the air-drilled forest's operation and management. Therefore, in order to further simplify the process of thinning density, the decentralization of the approval right of the thinning density will be the important measure to take in timely carrying out the thinning density3. There are many factors that will affect the thinning density in our province. It not only related to technology, management, but also involved in national policy, economic development and social progress in many aspects. Only when the Government at all levels, the leaders and workers of the forestry system together, united in common concern, support and participate, can the thinning density be carried out very well. Through extensive propaganda, we can raise the people's awareness about thinning density, we need to be active to get the national policy and financial support to establish thinning density project and make sure that the special funds are used properly. At the same time we should conduct lots of thinning density experiments to improve our technology and accumulate valuable experience.4.According to the survey, the aerial seeding afforestation in our province covers an area about 1000000hm~2. And the forest canopy has about 670000 hm~2, of which more than 470000 hm~2 are of high-density, bringing much-needed thinning density, bringing great pressure on aerial seeding afforestation. Therefore, in addition to carry out a certain area of thinning density each year, reasonable arrangements for the seedling trees will be the most important way to solve thinning density of aerial seeding afforestation.
