As one of the advanced irrigation techniques with most advantages of water-saving, drip irrigation is widely used in drought contries like Israel. Emitters are one of the key parts of the drip irrigation system, and its performance will determine the use effect and cost of the whole irrigation system. In recent years, the drip irrigation technology is emphasized and developed quickly in China. The emitter channel is very delicate and complicated, so it will cost too much money and time in traditional ways. However, most products are not designed but got overseas or imitate.Contrast with the disadvantages of lacking theory,wasting time and high costs in the development of emitter, this thesis has done all-around and deeply researches in hydraulic design,manufacture ways,hydraulic experiments,etc. Then a whole new theory and method, which is rapid and low costs, is founded in the development of emitters.First, this thesis presents the theory of emitter channel, according to the performance index and evaluation principle, and designs a new emitter type with eddy channel following this theory, which break the restriction of traditional labyrinth channel. Second, emitters for experiment are made by several rapid manufacture methods. Then this thesis analyses the hydraulic error and provides a new rapid manufacture methods of RP/RT for dozens of prototype, which can shorten development cycle,reduce cost and increase experiment precision. Last, hydraulic error experiment,anti-clogging experiment and quadrature experiment of structure parameters analyze and validate the feasibility of the design theory and manufacture methods.The experiment result shows that the eddy channel designed has high flux uniformity and strong anti-clogging ability and the rapid and low cost method for emitter development can reduce develop periods and cost, which offer an effective guidance for new channel type development.
