At present, the studies on soil erosion model are mostly located in the Loess Plateau in northwest China and less in Hubei province, so the establishment of soil erosion prediction model in Hubei provice has far-reaching significance. As empirical model is simple, easy to use, but also to ensure accuracy, USLE is still used as the basic theoretical foundation for the establishment of erosion models in this article. The high-tech such as GIS and RS are also used as the technology platform to establish erosion modles.It makes the model integrate with GIS,RS deeply.The authors analyze the the status of soil erosion models, the characteristics of different scale of soil erosion and soil erosion model based on GIS technology ideas. Then it gives the brief introduction to the natural environment of Hubei Province, (such as topography, rainfall, soil, vegetation, etc.) the general situation and causes of water and soil loss, the partition of soil erosion control zoned areas, the construction of the database status.for soil conservation etc.Secondly this paper focuses on the research and establishment of soil erosion models.It gives a detailed description of the structure, for example,the ideas of modeling, the meaning and access to the six parameters.that related to soil erosion and dealing with the photograph of parameters. In this paper, it makes a model experiment of soil erosion modles in Hubei.It deals with the collected data and gets maps of the six-factor in the study area. Then it takes Wuhan city as an example, to make comparison of the calculated and measured values about soil erosion intension grades.The result dicated that the calculated values of soil erosion intension grades which used USLE and grid method is generally equal to the measured values,especially the micro, mild, strong and very strong grades has high precision simulation,the moderate and severe grades has great difference with the measured values.But these two grades accounted for a relatively small proportion of total grid,Therefore, it will not affect the entire region Wuhan evaluation of soil erosion intensity. It proved the feasibility of the establishment of the Hubei soil erosion model. The author presents a summary and outlook of the article in the end.This paper is based on experience in a relatively crude but effective model of Hubei soil erosion model. At present, it is necessary to increase soil erosion factors and the in-depth analysis and study of corrosion mechanism. A national unified model of soil erosion should be established as soon as possible.
