The Porcine Circovirus disease is that the Weaned Piglets Suffering from Post-Weaning Multi-Systematic Wasting Syndrome(PMWS) and Porcine Dermatitis and Nephropathy Syndrome, PDNS, which caused by PCV2. In this investigation, survey,ELISA and PCR were used to test those blood serum, samples of specimen or other samples of tissues, swab, manure which provided by the intensive swine farms and extensive swine farms in Quanzhou city, Fujian Province. This study can be a reference of how to control the PCV disease for those swine farmers in our area.Since 2006, we did thousands of survey from those vets in our city. The survey showed that 24.08% have the symptom of PCV, 54 copies are positively infected by PCV. And there is not a swine farm inoculating the vaccine of the PCV.ELISA was used to test 882 serum samples from 51 intensive swine farm. The results showed that PCV2 positive rate has reached 25.51% (225/882). The intensive swine farms took 23.61%, and the extensive swine farms took 28.04%. 12 of the 28 intensive swine farms and 5 of the 23 extensive swine farms were negative.PCR technique was used to test 122 clinical samples for PMWS AND PDNS. The results showed that the positive rate of PCV infection was 44.26% (54/122). And tested 187 clinical samples from 35 swine farms, the positive rate of PCV were only 16.04% (30/187) of the clinical samples. And only 28.75% (10/35) swine farms were positive in PCV.From the above investigations, we can see that most of the swine farms have the PCV2, it is a huge potential danger to the swine farming business in our city.We worked out the following measures, such as vaccine inoculation, emphasized feeding management, drugs and so on to protect and control the PCV2 infection in porcine according to the practical fact.
