Crop informatics uses mathematical and information science viewpoint, theory and method to study the growth of various crops, information laws in production management. At present, crop resources on the Internet are increasing rapidly. Every type of databases, analysis software and integrated sites have emerged. So it is necessary to analyze crop information resources on the Internet systematically, develop and utilize them.However, in the traditional information retrieval methods, information resources lack of a unified semantic description. So users can hardly find resources related to actual demand, and can hardly realize semantics sharing of information resources. How to make crop information resources can be understood by machine. How to realize semantic search of crop information resources according to the crop information knowledge. How to increase utilization of digital information resources. This is a hotspot now.This paper illustrates technical characteristics and development methods of semantic web based intelligence crop information retrieval system according to study various existing intelligence retrieval system status. Applying systematical engineering principles and methods, analyze the basic principles and methods of crop information retrieval system. It uses semantic web as a core and combines data mining, ontology, artificial intelligence to deeply study the application of XML, Oracle in crops information retrieval system. Basing on software engineering principles and methods, this paper uses structured methods to analysis and design system. Using J2EE, Oracle, and other related tools develop semantic web based intelligence crop information retrieval system.This study combines computer technology and expertise effectively, and brings up a reasonable search algorithm by analyzing crop-specific problems. This retrieval system solved low efficiency of general retrieve system and increased query efficiency. Help users to use scattered crop information resources on the Internet. Provide assistance to guide the research and development of crops. Accelerate the transformation of scientific and technological achievements.
