With the era of agricultural informationization , Foodstuff trade information, increasingly rapid growth, due to the mass of information generated from different sources and different formats , different application environments the traditional information retrieval technologies are facing enormous challenges. The fundamental reason for the exchange and sharing of the lack of semantic information of data, in order to address this problem, it is bound to enhance the semantic representation of information resources, including information resources on the content of the meaning and function of the ability to describe, so that information resources can be machine understanding, to meet the effective retrieval of agricultural user's needs , then to achieve intelligent retrieval of information.Based on Ontology for Intelligent Information Retrieval System to be the establishment of the relevant domain ontology library, add the information resources in the field of semantic information, and then retrieve the information needed to make semantic reasoning, thereby enhancing the ability to retrieve hidden information.Foodstuff trade information based on Ontology of Intelligent Retrieval Model related to Ontology Semantic Web and the relevant background. In the analysis, comparison methods related to Ontology build, based on the Ontology to follow the general principles of construction, combination of the advantages of ontology building methods, and taking into account norms of quality management thinking -- PDCA and methods of Software Engineering, then proposed a domain ontology to build a new Model - Cycle Ontology Construction Law evolutionary prototyping.Intelligent Retrieval of Foodstuff Trade Information test system based on Ontology( referred to as IRFTI system) to build the key methods, including a model of intelligent information retrieval architecture,a reasoning mechanism,the concept of calculating the similarity analysis and improvement, and the user' s query terms semantic matching and semantic expansion . Using these related technologies, the pilot system IRFTI was realized. Proved through experiments in the test environment , it can retrieve more effective retrieval of information than the retrieval based on keyword matching.So it has a certain degree of practical application value.
