Sweet cherry had not only beautiful flowers and special flavor, but it also had nutritious fruits.Furthermore it was one of the most beautiful trees in gardens. Sweet cherry had been planted in large areas of China. But recently it was found that the cherry was infected by virus more and more seriously. Shoot tip culture, thermotherapy and medicament treatment were the main methods. We studied on the shoot tip culture, rapid propagation and impact factor of virus-free of sweet cherry. The results were as follows: the most suitable multiplicated medium was MS+6-BA1.0mg/L+NAA0.2mg/L;The rooting medium: 1/2MS+NAA0.8mg/L.If we wanted to get high survival rate, we should choose the dormant buds from April to May. The meristem domes (0.5mm) which were excised from buds of cherry were cultured on the basic woody plant medium supplemented with 6-BA1.0mg/L, IBA0.25mg/L.Six different mediums were designed to culture stem apex of 6 varieties in sweet cherry. The results suggested that culture mediums for different genotype of sweet cherry were very different. Materials were treated for 15 days in variable temperature (26℃/38℃). This could ensure the high survival rate. We selected the temperature of virus-free depending on the different material. We added SA into the medium to research the physiology and biochemistry of cheery after treating. The result showed that the activities of Peroxidase (POD) and soluble protein of the treated cherries increased apparently compared with untreated plants. But the activities of CAT decreased at first and then increased .
