The twine knotter twine is a machine of baler used to baling, Twine knotter hook is a key spare part of twine knotter, which is in charge of tie a knot. at work ,front-end of hook contact with rope ,hook is by drive of twine knotter twine disk outside tooth,turns 360 degree, finished winding rope, grabbing rope, knotting rope. Because hook suffers amplitude circle load, a crack formation after certain circle index, and continue to extend until fracture become endurance failure under the loads; if the excesssive gab between hook and knife rest, leading to mechanical failure which wale knot retain the front-end of hook, make the hook take place static strength failure under the effect of rope's percussion action. Good and bad of hook will direct influence normal operation of twine knotter .Grasping the hook's endurance life can guide user to change the vulnerable parts regularly; definite stress concentration point of hook can guide maker to aim at the position to carry out optimization design. So researching the structure and performance of hook is a very important works for actual production.Twine knotter hook make use of German import material, so the raw materials can not definite. Thesis researches stress distribution and fatigue life through mechanical property. Make use of metallographic analysis experiment, rockwell hardness experiment, tantalum spectroscopic analysis and intensity of tension experiment to judge the hook's material; use finite element analysis sofeware ANSYS to definite hook's stress and strain scattergram, use nominal stress method, localized stress method and ANSYS FE-SAFE software analysis method to definite the hook's fatigue life. Also definite the stress concentration areas of hook, providing with reference for improving and perfecting the hook's structure and profermance.
