With the development of agriculture in the direction of intensification and mechanization, agricultural machinery which is one of the most important production factors in agriculture attractive more and more attention.Harvester is a kind of important agricultural machinery.Improving the application performance of the harvester has a great influence for agricultural production.Chassic frame as the main support component of harvester has a strict production requirement because of the harsh working conditions.Optimizing the design and fatigue analysis of the harvester frame can reduce the overall weight of the harvesters and ensure the reliability of the harvesters. It is of great significance to improve the performance of the harvesters and ensure the quality of the harvesters.Firstly, the model of the harvester chassis frame is designed and the 3D model is simplified according to the actual situation.Based on the 3D model of the frame, the finite element model of the frame is established, and the static analysis and modal analysis are carried out.It is found that the original chassis frame has a great space for optimization. The model of soft terrain surface is reconstructed with the method of sum-of-sinusoids.The multi-rigid-body dynamics model of the harvester is set up with the model of soft terrain surface as input, and the load-time course is simulated and the fatigue life is analyzed combining with the parameters of the frame. Finally, the frame is optimized for topology, and the optimized frame is compared with the original frame by finite element analysis. The new chassis frame completed the purpose of lightweight, and stress situation had also been improved.
