Ceratoides play important roles on ecological construction and economic utilization. Metabolic heat (Rq)and respiratory rates (RCO2)of three Ceratoides species, which came from 15 seed collection sites, were determined by CSC4100 at 5℃intervals from 10℃to 35℃. Based on L. D. Hansen respiration-growth model, they were used to calculate and analyze the substrate carbon conversion efficiency (ε) and the specific growth rate(RSG), then to predict optimal growth temperature scopes. At last, the respiratory metabolism characteristics of 15 Ceratoides of different seed sources were compared. Some conclusions were made in the thesis displayed below:1. The substrate carbon conversion efficiencies of 15 Ceratoides from different seed sources at different temperatures are calculated and analyzed. They change with the temperatures.2. The optimal growth temperature scopes of 15 Ceratoides from different seed sources are analyzed and predicted.3. The comparison among different seed resources but in the same species:(1) The optimal growth temperature scope of Keerqin Ceratoides arborescens is wider than that of Siziwang Ceratoides arborescens.(2) Based on the substrate carbon conversion efficiency, the cluster analysis result of 12 Ceratoides lanata from American is that 12 varieties is classified into 4 categories.(3) Based on the specific growth rate, the cluster analysis result of 12 Ceratoides lanata from American is that 12 varieties is classified into 5 categories.4. The comparison among different species of Ceratoides:(1) From 17℃to 28℃, the substrate carbon conversion efficiency and the specific growth rate of Ceratoides 1atens are higher than that of Ceratoides arborescens.(2) Overall, the average value of substrate carbon conversion efficiency of Ceratoides arborescens and Ceratoides 1atens at different temperatures are separately higher than that of Ceratoides lanata.(3) Overall, the specific growth rate variation range of Ceratoides lanata is wider than that of Ceratoides arborescens and Ceratoides 1atens. The temperature scope, where the specific growth rates is more faster, of species from China is between 15℃to 25℃, and of species from America (except Ceratoides lanata from Catron County ,New Mexico) is between 22℃to 32℃.
