| A systematic study of the family Attelabidae (Coleoptera: Curculionoidea) from Northeast China was conducted in the present paper. There are mainly three parts in this paper. The first part is introduction. The taxonomic study on Attelabidae in the world and in China are reviewed, meanwhile the morphology of Attelabidae in Northeastern China are described, and the biological characteristic including behaviors, hosts, damages are summarized.Part two is taxonomy. According to the specimens and literature recorded, there are 59 species of 32 genera belonging to 10 tribes and 3 subfamilys of Attelabidae from Northeast China are described, 4 new Chinese species, along with 1 genera and 2 species newly recorded to China included. The identification characteristic and the keys of the tribes, genera and species are provided. The morphological characteristics of the species are described, and the colour pictures and genitalia of microscopic examination species are accompanying in this study.Part three is the faunal structures of the Attelabidae of Northeast China. The results showed that 100 genera of the Chinese Attelabidae mainly belong to Oriental type, among them, only 9 genera in Palaearctic region and 42 genera in Oriental region, accounting for 9% and 42%; while 48 genera are distributed in Oriental + Palaearctic region, which make up 48%, and 1 genus is distributed in Oriental + Palaearctic + Afrotropical, accounting for 1%. The Attelabidae distributed in Northeast China are 59 species of 32 genera, but among them 2 genera and 7 species are only distributed in Northeast China, accounting for 2% and 1.53% of countrywide Attelabidae. All the type specimens are kept in the Insect Collections of Northeast Forestry University. |
