In order to explore the Wild European Plum (Prunus domestica L.) cold resistance characteristics, four kinds of Prunus domestica L.( Prunus domestica L.Ⅰ, Prunus domestica L.Ⅱ, Prunus domestica L.Ⅲ, Prunus domestica L.Ⅳ) were be used, which were introductioned from Ili Xinyuan. The effects of different conditions on the morphological and physiological features of Prunus domestica L. were analyzed, which include the LT50 of low temperatures and cold hardening during the cold acclimation period. The physiological mechanism of Prunus domestica L. adapting the low temperature conditions was clarified preliminarily. The results showed:1. During the cold acclimation period, the leakage ratio of electrolyte and MDA contents of Prunus domestica L. were fluctuated, the range of variation were higher than Prunus domestica and Terada; Active oxygen metabolism system for low temperature stress reaction were less than Terada; Beginning the cold acclimation period, osmoregulation substance were increased, with cold resistant to deepen, Prunus domestica L. osmoregulation substance were no longer increased, especially Proline were on a declining curve.2. Use principal component analysis, the 9 physiological indexes of Prunus domestica L. were analyzed, conclusion as that: active oxygen metabolism system control action and cell membrane system stability were played important roles; after the comprehensive evaluation, we consider that Prunus domestica L. cold resistances were lower than Prunus domestica and Terada.3. The leaf structure of Prunus domestica L. in different kinds of single plant does not have obvious changes, but discrepant in different period; Palisade/ Spongy, Palisade ratio and Spongy ratio of Prunus domestica L.Ⅰand Prunus domestica L.Ⅱwere reduced to a larger extent; Palisade/ Spongy and Palisade ratio were significant correlation with Prunus domestica L. cold resistance.4. Leakage ratio of electrolyte increased like"S"curve concomitant with a decrease of temperature. LT50 of different types of Prunus domestica L. is between -21.4 and -36.8℃, different types of Prunus domestica L. had different cold resistance.5. The cold resistance of Prunus domestica L. was in ordinal of Prunus domestica L. III> Prunus domestica L. IV> Prunus domestica L. I> Prunus domestica L. II. The cold resistance of Prunus domestica L. is lower than Prunus domestica and Terada. (Prunus domestica L. I, Prunus domestica L. II, Prunus domestica L. III, Prunus domestica L. IV, mean different tapys of Prunus domestica L.).
