| 18 wildly Trifolium repens L. introduced from Russia was used in this study to investigate the adaptation, feeding quality and lawn estimation in the region of Yangzhou, comprehensive evaluation was conducted, and a primary standard on lawn quality evaluation which applicable to Trifolium repens L. was acquired. The main results were as follows:1.The results of adaptation and feeding quality showed that breed number 5, 12, 13 and 14 shown priorities in grass yield, plant height, feeding quality, and the grass summer survival rate than other breeds, which can adapt the climate environment of middle and lower reaches of Yangtze River Region and was similar to the bred varieties, and was capable of excellent potential characteristics. Combined with the observation of phenophase, the results suggested that, these 4 breeds should better be fertilized at jointing stage in February, the first cutting time of breed 5 should better be arranged in the middle of April, and breed 12, 13 and 14 be arranged early in April. Breed 3, 4 and 6 were not fit to plant in the region of Yangzhou, breed 11and16 shown disadvantages in nutritional quality. The feeding quality of other 9 wildly breeds were not so good, but they can adapt to the plant environment of Yangzhou, and they can be utilized according to different purpose and ways.2.Studies on lawn quality showed that, the lawn quality of breed 5, 9, and 16 was the best, they were fit for lawn utilization; the evaluation on lawn quality was the worst in breed 3, 4, 11, 13 and 14, and they were not fit for lawn use. The lawn quality of other 10 breeds was in the middle level. Combined the analysis of summer survival rate and the recover speed after summer, it was found that, breed 5 and 9 was fit to be popularized in Yangzhou as landscape turf. Statistics on leaf area, density and turf height in 18 wildly Trifolium repens L. classified 5 levels on these variables, combined with green period, leaf color and uniformity, a standard that fit to evaluate the quality of Trifolium repens L. was established.3.Among the 18 wildly breeds, most of them were not good when feeding and lawn quality were considered, but they are adapt to plant in Yangzhou; breed 3, 4 and 6 were not adapt to the high temperature in Yangzhou; breed 12, 13 and 14 were good in feeding quality, but the lawn quality was not high; and breed 9 and 16 shown opposite quality; breed 5 was a excellent breed in both feeding and lawn quality. |
