Based on field investigation and indoor analysis methods, determine the judgment indicators of ineffective stands within Dawujia watershed. Studies and analysis the eco-hydrological benefits of litter and soil layers of ineffective and update stands within watershed. The results indicated that:(1)According to quality and efficiency standards to determine the judgment indicators of ineffective stands are canopy density and density and the quality of individual trees within watershed.(2)Ineffective Populus simonii and Caragana Korshinkii were alteredr to pure Populus simonii and Armeniaca sibirica, eco-hydrological benefits of stands are decline, so mixed stands should be re-configured.(3)Ineffective Populus simonii(flat) were alteredr to pure Armeniaca sibirica and Pinus tabulaeformis, eco-hydrological benefits of litter of pure Armeniaca sibirica were fine, but the improved effect of soil was not obvious; eco-hydrological benefits of soil of pure Pinus tabulaeformis were fine, its function of water conservation was better.(4)Ineffective Caragana Korshinkii were alteredr to pure Populus simonii, eco-hydrological benefits of soil were decline, eco-hydrological benefits of Caragana Korshinkii were better than Populus simonii in sand.(5)Ineffective Populus simonii(slope) were alteredr to mixed Larix principis -rupprechtii and Ulmus pumila with pure Pinus tabulaeformis and mixed Morus alba and Armeniaca sibirica,eco-hydrological benefits of litter and soil of mixed Larix principis-rupprechtii and Ulmus pumila were fine; the improved effect of soil of pure Pinus tabulaeformis was obvious; eco-hydrological benefits of litter and soil of mixed Morus alba and Armeniaca sibirica were decline.(6)Ineffective Pinus tabulaeformis were alteredr to mixed Pinus tabulaeformis and Hippophae rhamnoidea, eco-hydrological benefits of litter and soil of mixed Pinus tabulaeformis and Hippophae rhamnoidea were better than pure Pinus tabulaeformis, so mixed stands should be re-configured.
