In this paper, the potted plants methods were adopted, investigated two kinds of different cover plants under the same concentration(0mol/L,0.1mol/L,0.2mol/L,0.3mol/L and 0.4mol/L) and the same time menace of NaCl and NaHCO3,salt stress. All under the same condition. This paper investigated the effects of salt stress on the physiological and biochemical indicators of Glechoma longituba and Duchesnea indica and appraised the comprehensive salt tolerant ability of Glechoma longituba and Duchesnea indica. The main results were described as follows:1.The fresh weights decreased with the increasing of NaCl and NaHCO3 salinity, the difference of which were noticeable among Glechoma longituba and Duchesnea and different NaCl and NaHCO3 salinity by variance analysis. The growth rate of fresh weight of Glechoma longituba and Duchesnea decreased with the prolongation of the time of salt stress.2.The areas and the containing water of the leaves were all decreased, followed the increasing of NaCl and NaHCO3 salinity and the increasing of time prolong.3.Followed the increasing of NaCl and NaHCO3 salinity and the increasing of time prolong. The livability of Glechoma longituba and Duchesnea were all decreased. The survival rates were increasing under salt stress4.The memberane permeability of Glechoma longituba and Duchesnea were all increasing with the increasing of NaCl and NaHCO3 salinity and the increasing of time prolong.5.The effects of salt stress on the chlorophyll contents were various in different periods.Generally, the chlorophyll a,b and chlorophyll contents(a+b) of bamboos all decreased with the increasing of salt contents and the prolongation of NaCl and NaHCO3stress, the ratios of the chlorophyll a to b fluctuated between 2.0 and 4.0.6.The soluble sugar content, soluble protein and relative conductivity all increased with the increasing of NaCl and NaHCO3 salinity and the increasing of time prolong.7.The burnt leaves of Glechoma longituba and Duchesnea were increased with the increasing of NaCl and NaHCO3 salinity and the increasing of time prolong. The symptom disserved unde salt stress were more severity.8.The comprehensive salt tolerant ability of Glechoma longituba and Duchesnea was analysed by both subordinatefunction method and coordinate comprehensive appraisal method.
