Effect Of Different Harvesting Intensity On The Population Regeneration And Growth Of Epimedium Koreanum Population

Epimedium koreanum is a traditional Chinese medicine,is mainly founded in Jilin,Liaoning province in the territory of Northeast China,and widely distributed in Japan,Korea,etc.This plant often growths in aggregative patches with different sizes as communities occupying in the woods.It is an economic plant which has high applied value and foreground for development in medicine.The plant resources are renewable resources,if used in scientific and rational ways within the extent of population regeneration,we shall achieve sustainable utilization and vice verse.In a sense,it was an indirect way to achieve sustainably utilization that cultivation,nurturing or protection.It was direct way that studying medicinal plants update of the populationin-depth,determining its maximum sustainable yield and effectively control the intensity and the use of dig.The results showed that:the sexual reproduction of E.koreanum was weak.It is a vital problem to be solved that the development and utilization of the population and maintaining the stability for the E.koreanum.Research on the E.koreanum mostly confined to the chemical composition,pharmacological effect,the Health and drug quality,and so on.It was not reported that influence of different harvesting intensity on the yield and medicine quality.With difference of biological characteristics of E.koreanum in different months,influence on each biological index of E.koreanum was discussed resulted form different harvest intensity to find a balance point between population harvest and development,protect and promote to expand wildlife resources and establish a reasonable theoretical basis for harvest strength.This experiment started in 2006,May to September and in 2007 5 to September in Jilin Province Linjiang city,their location for 11 hours,longitude 126 'to 127 hours,35' E,41,27 'to 42 hours,4' And,after full Investigation,in the town of Lime Linjiang city Wei Shahe ditch near the mountain on a selected sample, conducted three different harvesting intensity of treatment,for two consecutive years of investigation and study results showed that:1.E.koreanumi uses vegetative propagation as its way of reproduction.The non-sex production expand in the sparse guerrilla style.It has a axis of branches,The number of branches is very small.The branch point is irregular.The classification of the root and stem is obvious.The up-ground part of the branch can only live for 1 year,but its root and stem can live for no less than 9 years.2.Research on the effect of harvest on the sexual reproduction of E.koreanum.E.koreanum has less ways to develop sexual reproduction,and the sexual reproduction is fairly rare,nearly 50 percent of the division can not fruit.Through the dynamic investigation of the flowering and fruiting period of E.koreanum, we gathered statistics of the flowering and fruiting plant in various harvest period and extent and made analyzing list.Destruction for sexual propagation on May was greater than the other months,as the plants growed slowly by means of harvesting on this month,however,the proportion of harvesting quadrate played a promoted role for sexual propagation of population.3.Investigation on flowering and fruiting period outside the harvesting period and harvesting intensity in the biological sample of the E.koreanum showed that the updating ability of the population is fairly strong. And the sample accelerated to grow compared with the blank sample.The flowering and fruiting rarely appeared in the second year of the sample of May,but the sample in June were found the most. 4.E.koreanum population dynamics of production.By the investigation of the population of plants and roots,stems,leaves,and the biomass in different period of the E.koreanum,we found that various indicators of E.koreanum have made constant progress during May and June.The average growth in June is 6.13% compared with May.But it stayed the same in July.While the average growth of basic stem in June increased 2.96%compared with May and the growth increased to 2.74%in July.The leaf area increased 89.7%in July,but it decreased step by step ever after.The dry weight increased 235%in June and decreased after July.As various indicators all decreased after July,we generated the idea that the population dynamics begin to store energy between June and July.5.Different harvesting intensity on the E.koreanum yield formation of Population Research.Through the different kind of harvesting intensity and the various periods Of biomass research,we can acquire the extent and difference of the effect on the population production by harvesting intensity.Through analysis of variance,multiple comparisons,and related analysis,we have made research on the E.koreanum number of features of the five kinds-high degree of division:the height of the plant,basic stern,leaf quantity,leaf area,plant dry weight in different time and different intensity of the harvest.And we also discussed the construction of dry weight and support of photosynthesis and biomass as the component elements of the support function,the different harvest time and intensity of harvesting the energy accumulated under the law. These ecological and biological characteristics of E.koreanum which mainly uses its leaf as the medicinal part makes it convenient to be producd and used.According to the dynamic diversify;advice that harvesting time should be after the middle August was drawn off.The harvesting intensity should be less than 50%.
