Investigation And Analysis Of Street Plant Landscape In Taian City

The plant kinds, greening status and plant landscape of thirty-four streets, such as Daizong Street, Taishan Street, Dongyue Street, Hongmen Street, Hushan Street, Leigushi Street, Longtan Street, Wenquan Street, Wenhua Street, Qingnian Street, Caiyuan Street, were investigated on field. The result shows that there are 217 species of plants in 58 families using in street greening. Rosaceae, the biggest family, includes 38 species, and then Asteraceae, Oleaceae, Fabaceae and Cupressaceae. There are 80 species of tree including 14 species of evergreen and 66 of decidous, 85 species of shrubs and vines, including 27 species of evergreen and 58 of decidous, 24 species of annual and biennial floweres, 23 species of perennial flowers, and 5 species of lawn grass. The most common trees are Sophora japonica, Cedrus deodara, Sabina chinensisi, Salix babylonica, Platanus spp, Prunus cerisifera, Ginkgo biloba, Salix matsudana, Lagerstroemia indica, and Cerasus serrulata var. lannesiana; the most common shrubs are Sabina chinensis'Kaizuca', Berberis thunbergii'Atropurpurea', Rosa chinensis, Ligustrum vicary, Cercis chinensis, Hibiscus syriacus, Sorbaria kirilowii; the most common flowers are Celosia cristata, Salvia splendens, Brassica oleracea var. acephala, Tagetes erecta, Hosta plantaginea, Hemerocallis fulva, Iris germanica, Dendranthema×grandiflora, Coreopsis grandiflora, Trifolium repens,Poa pratensis, and so on.The plant landscaping models in Taian Streets are the one lane with two greenbelts (72.2%, such as Qingnian Street, Hongmen Strtee, Wenquan Street, and Daizong Street), the two lanes with three greenbelts (8.3%, such as Yingsheng Street and Nanwaihuan Strtee), and the three lanes with four greenbelts (19.5%, such as Daizong Street and Dongyue Strtee), without the four lanes with five greenbelts model. There are 27 speceis of street trees, including 3 species of evergreen conifers, 2 species of evergreen broadleafs and 22 species of decidous broadleafs. Sophora chinensis and Platanus, whose frequency is 0.412, are the most important street trees. Populus tomentosa, Albizia julibrissin, Salix matsudana, Acer truncatum, are important, too, while Pinus tabulaeformis, Platycladus orientalis, Cedrus deodara, Magnolia grandiflora, Robinia pseudoacacia, and Catalpa bungei, are scarce. Native tree species such as Sophora chinensis, Ailanthus altissima, Melia azedarach, Populus tomentosa, Acer truncatum, Catalpa bungei grow well, part of foreign trees such as Platanus grows well, too; while Cedrus deodara, Platycladus orientalis, Ligustrum lucidum, and Magnolia grandiflora grow bad, and couldnot use as street trees.There are 95 species of plants using in the landscaping of dividing greenbelts, including 31 species of trees, 38 species of shrubs and 23 species of flowers and groundcover plants. Berberis thunbergii'Atropurpurea', Sabina chinensis'Kaizuca', Ligustrum vicary, Largerstromia indica, and Rosa chinensis are the most common speicies, while those traditional dividing greenbelt plants such as Euonymus japonicus, Buxus sinica, and Ligustrum sinensis are not in dominant, showing the diversity in dividing greenbelt plants of Taian City. There are 206 species of plants using in the landscaping of the lay-by greenbelt, and without dominant species. The main greening models are mingled forest community, trees-shrubs-lawn, tree-groudcover, tree-shrub mosaic culture, shrub mosaic culture, and so on.
