This paper study the urban green space landscape of Xuzhou city in Jangsu province based on remote sensing image of2008and field survey data. The main contents focussed on analysis landscape plaque composition, landscape diversity, landscape fragmentation, landscape fractal dimension, contagion and gradient by using specialized software as Fragstats, Excel. From the urban green space information is extracted, to make greenbelt distribution map with ArcGIS, Excel. The study results provide basic scientific information as an important prerequisite to be able to build Xuzhou city become a landscape ecological city, as follows:(1)The coverage rate of Xuzhou urban green space is as much as31.83%, and the main type is park green space. Yunlong's green coverage rate is the highest, then Quanshan, Kaifa and Gulou. Yunlong and Quanshan are mainly consist of park green space and other green space, Gulou is mainly consist of other green space, while Kaifa is maily consist of park green space and other affiliated green space. The high number of patches are mostly in road green space, residential green space and other affiliated green space.(2) Shannon diversity index is close to the most diversity in Gulou and Yunlong, while it is lower in Quanshan and Kaifa Gulou has the highest Shannon diversity index and the lowest dominance index, Kaifa has the lowest Shannon diversity index.(3)When it comes to patch density, road green space, residential green space and other affiliated green space is bigger than the others, which means they are more fragmentation.Gulou's patch density is the largest, followed by Quanshan, Kaifa and Yunlong.(4)The whole patch fractal dimension is in a low level, and the value is between1and1.2, which is not benefit to maintain and establish urban biodiversity.(5)The contagion value is similar and all in a low level in the four region, which means Xuzhou urban green space patch distribution is dispersed.(6) In the range of600m, landscape diversity index and patch density index distribution is roughly same. Generally speaking, the highest is mainly located in urban centres and developed region and the lowest located in urban fringe and developing region, next to the threshold, something in between.(7) In the range of600m, landscape diversity index and patch density index trend is roughly same. More close to the city center, the higher the value, the more close to the edge of the city, the lower the value, the trend from urban center to urban fringe is falling down.
