The silky fowl is an unique species of chicken for medical purposes. Silkie meat was considered as a nourishing food and can improve the health. The feeding patterns which was high efficient and large-scale has rised in recent years was difficult to achieve high-quality, nutrition and health, not in line with the current trend of keeping grazing feeding .The patter which the silky fowl were scatter-feeded in medlar garden of Gansu Tiaoshan group is in coincidence with current feeding patten. This paper take 30 silky fowls aged 90 days which scatter-feeded in medlar garden as experimental group. Meanwhile, take 30 healthy silky fowls also aged 90 days which were feeded in captivity as the comparision group.Used conventional method, automated amino acid analyzer, flame atomic absorption spectrophotometer, high performance liquid chromatographs and gas chromatographs to determine two groups of Silky fowl for production performance, conventional nutrients, vitamins, amino acids, fatty acids, melanoma, minerals such as heavy metals and drug residues, furthermore compare the content of these determination results .Studies showed that:1.Feeding pattensThere were differences of production performance, nutritional quality, fatty acid, melanin, heavy metals element and drug residues between silky fowls in two groups under two feeding pattens. The most of evalated indexs were of experimental group higher than comparision group.2.Production performanceThe live weight, daily weight gain and carcass weight of experimental group were 1.25 kilogram, 1.00 kilogram and 1.70 kilogram, respectively, which significantly higher than comparision group ( P<0.05 ) .The slaughter rate of experimental group is 81.68% higher than comparision group. Meanwhile, the amount of feed daily gained and feed conversion ratio were lower than comparision group.3.Nutritional qualityThe content of protain, ash, vatamin B2 of experimental group was 29.47g/100g, 1.05g/100g and 66.12μg/100g, respectively, which were 7.98%, 8.24%, and 38.84% higher than comparision group. The content of moisture, fat and vatamin B1 of experimental group was 64.1g/100g, 5.47g/100g and 21.3μg/100g, respectively, which was 2.93%, 5.67 % and 12.68% significantly lower than comparision group(p<0.05). The content of total amino acids, essential amino acids and some of amino acids associated with meat flavor of experimental group was respectively 3.74g/100g, 1.67 g/100g and 2.04g/100g higher than comparision group. The content of iron and selenium in minerals element of experimental group was 25.11mg/kg, 0.0928mg/kg,respectively , which was 0.85mg/kg,0.0162mg/kg lower than comparision group. The content of zinc of experimental group was 4.38mg/kg, which was 0.18mg/kg higher than comparision group. The content of calcium was 23.21mg/kg, which was significantly higher than the comparision group 6.48mg/kg (p<0.01).4.Fatty acidThe relative concentration of saturated fatty acids,mono-unsaturated fatty acid, poly-unsaturated fatty acids, unsaturated fatty acids was 42.96%, 37.09%, 19.95% and 57.04%, respectively. The relative concentration of both saturated fatty acids and poly-unsaturated fatty acids were higher than comparision group, except relative concentration of poly-unsaturated fatty acids. Compared comparision group, there were two kinds of docosahexaenoic acid and linolenic acid were detected in experimental group.5. MelaninThe experimental group melanin content was 1.578g/100g, which was remarkably higher than comparision group(P<0.05).Consequently, the experimental group have a higher nutritional value than experimental group.6. Heavy metals element and drug residuesThere were no element of arsenic, sulfonamides and furazolidone were detected in two both groups. The content of mercury and plumbum were significantly lower than comparision group(P<0.01). Moreover, the content of these two heavy metals was much lower than the limition of maximum in fowl described in Compulsory Standards of China Assembling.
