Breeding Performance Measurement Of The 11^th Generation Of Tianfu Silky Fowl And Product Performance Contrast With Other Varieties Under Different Mode Of Production

In this experiment, the 11th generations of Tianfu silky fowl was chosen as the main research object. We measured the breeding performance, including egg performance and hatching performance, as well as product performance, including the performance of growth, development, slaughter and meat quality,then we calculated and analyzed economic of product generation. The Mabian chicken and Qingjiaoma chicken were chosen to feed in room and wild as the contrast species. Then we selected three different time of aged 130,150 and180 days chicken to slaughter and analyze the impact of feeding pattens, breed and feeding time which can provide reference for breeding and production of Tianfu Silky fowl. The main results are as follows:The test of breeders performance showed that:the 11th Tianfu Silky fowl generations have more than 3,500 hens. Start laying egg is on the 149th days and the egg’s weight are 37.53±4.87g and the layer’s weight are 1875.6±165.6g.The egg production are 90.96± 28.42 when in aged 300 days and the average egg weight are 55.43±4.77g. The whole group have 59 families and the monthly egg production rate of each family about 50.06%.The first five families can selected remain as the propagation group and eliminated other 43..2% families. The egg fertilization rate of the 11th Tianfu Silky fowl generations is 93.45±0.6%, hatching rate is 67.9±2.4%.The product performance showed that:The 13 weeks weight of Tianfu Silky fowl feeding in field are 1416.08g and feeding in room are 1458.67g. The weight, the same as Mabian chicken, are lower than Ya’an chicken(2282.63g). Its growth and development rate are lower than average. Tianfu Silky reach market weight of about 2kg of time of 19 weeks (about 130 days), feed conversion for stocking this stage 4.3, feeding 3.5.The Tianfu Silky fowl’s Slaughter performance is good. No matter what ages or feeding pattens, the slaughter rates of Tianfu Silky fowl are higher than 85% and eviscerated rate are more than 60%,which indicating that its meat production performance is good. The Tianfu Silky fowl is easy affected by feeding age while it is little affected by feeding pattens. From aged 130 days to 150 days, The eviscerated rate of Tianfu Silky fowl, feeding in room, is from 62.87% down to 61.7%,while the abdominal rate is increased from 1.24% to 2.04%. The former is increased while the latter is reduced in Tianfu Silky fowl which feeding in field.Meat performance test showed that:the flesh color of Tianfu silky fowl is unique that significantly lower than other varieties (P<0.05). It can be improved by increasing the breeding age. pH value is almost in the normal range (pH16-6.5, pH245.8-6.3) and it is better of room chicken when slaughtered at 130 days, while 150 days is better of wild chicken. The Tianfu Silky fowl’s Moisture (71.89%-73.99%), dry matter content (26.01%-29.11%) and intramuscular fat (best to reach 3.09%) are better than other varieties. Except for the intramuscular fat, the water and dry matter feeding in field are better than feeding in room and the first two contents will get bad with the long feeding time which slaughter age should not be too late, that the last one content will be in contrast. The amino acid content of Tianfu Silky fowl is relatively good. The content of Histidine, Arginine, Valine are superior to other varieties. Aged 150 days of wild Tianfu Silky fowl is appropriate because the glutamate levels are improved. The muscle fiber density(595.98-671.44/mm2)and diameter(34.58-37.37μm) of Tianfu Silky fowl are better than others and feeding in field is better(P<0.05). The longer feeding time, the poorer meat you have. So, the age of slaughter should not be too old.Economic analysis showed than:the economic benefits of Tianfu silky fowl of different mode of production is good. The economic benefit is that 24.26 yuan/only feeding in wild and 18.43 yuan/only feeding in room at aged 130 days and 27.06 yuan/only feeding in wild and 19.80 yuan/only feeding in room at aged 150 days.Therefore the best economic benefit is that feeding in wild at aged 150 days,while feeding in room at aged 130 days and 150 days less.In summary, the 11th generation of Tianfu silky fowl is a combination of meat and eggs high-quality broilers and its production performance is good. Considering the production performance and economic benefit, it is good to slaughter at aged 130 days of Tianfu silky fowl which feeding in room, while aged 150 days for that feeding in field. Appropriate to extend the feeding time and feeding in field at right time can help improve the performance breeding and production.
