It has a long history to cultivate sesame (Sesamum indicum L.) in China, which was one of four major oil crops in China and the important products earned foreign exchange through exportation. Evaluation sesame germplasm resources was of great significance on sesame breeding and molecular biology research. In this study, the genetic diversity of black and white sesame germplasm resources and bred varieties (lines) of chinese sesame core germplasm resources were evaluated by use of SRAP (Sequence-related Amplified Polymorphism). The results of studied on genetic diversity of black sesame core germplasm showed that 182 stable and clear bands were amplified from 100 black sesame core germplasm with 13 pairs of primers combination,126 of which were polymorphic bands, account for 69.2 %, the bands and polymorphic bands of each primer combination were 14.0 and 9.7 respectively; pairing genetic similarity coefficient among test materials was between 0.469 and 0.986, with an average of 0.726, the test materials can be clustered into five groups when genetic similarity coefficient was 0.68 though UPGMA method, the result demonstrated that black sesame core germplasm was rich in genetic diversity, however, there was no obvious relationship between cluster results and geographical distribution; The genetic diversity index of black sesame core germplasm was 0.3557 (in Southern China)ï¹¥0.3415 (in Central China)ï¹¥0.2986 (in Northern China).Genetic diversity of 209 white sesame core germplasm of China was analyzed using SRAP markers, pairing genetic similarity coefficient among test materials was between 0.4215 and 0.9892, with an average of 0.7003. by using UPGMA cluster analysis method, the results showed that white sesame germplasm from different sources was mutual staggered distribution in cluster map and there was no significant relationship between similarity degree of genetic relationship and geographical distribution. However, there had a certain regularity among genetic relationship of white sesame germplasm in different province with their distribution trend in cluster map and geographical distribution; The genetic diversity of white sesame germplasm in Southern China was more abundant than which was in Central China and the genetic diversity was poor in Northern China, genetic diversity of foreign germplasm was between which was in Northern China and in Central, Southern ChinaGenetic diversity of bred varieties (lines) from Chinese sesame core germplasm was analyzed by SRAP markers, the results showed that 193 stable and clear bands were amplified from 18 sesame bred varieties (lines) with 14 pairs of primers combination,124 of which were polymorphic bands, account for 64.2 %. The results of cluster analysis and principal coordinate analysis showed that there was a certain genetic diversity in genetic basis of sesame bred varieties (lines), but the genetic similarity coefficient (0.5342-0.9688) was greater, the genetic distance was closer, and the genetic basis was more narrow in this group.
