For deepening the research for one of the world's top ten oil castor——genetic diversity and its anti-drought characteristics,we characterized 37 types of castor using RAPD molecular markers method.We selected seven primers which have a better combination for the PCR.Then,10 kinds of castor seeds in different concentrations of PEG6000 were studied,we selected ten hybridization species of emergence of better seedlings:JB2,JX2,T202,F7,A007,T5,Zh3,ZhBT,HZT,Z5,which potted and used methods—natural drought and PEG6000 stressed.The results showed that:The results of RAPD:the differentiation between 37 castor germplasm was small.All the test materials for genetic distance were greater than zero,but also they were able to clustered together.It indicated that all the varieties have the same genetic background,but also between which there have a certain variation.In the genetic coefficient of 0.74,37 copies of castor germplasm were divided into four major groups.Because 37 castor germplasm materials which we collected are fewer,genetic types were not rich.In different concentrations of PEG6000,different varieties of castor seeds germination performanced potential very different.The results of natural drought stress:Alonged with the deepening of the natural drought stress,the relative water content of 10 types of castor gradually decreased,proline content increased in varying degrees.In the late stress,proline content increased dramatically.SOD,POD,CAT activity increased at first,then had a downward trend,MDA content increased gradually.There was a reduced trend in the chlorophyll content.In different concentrations of PEG6000,Z5 had a same trend in the SOD,POD,CAT activity.Chlorophyll content was also reduced,but a smaller decline.With fuzzy membership function value method,we comprehensively evaluated the capability for drought resistance of 10 kinds of castor plants.The order was:Z5>F7>ZhB7>JX2>T202>Zh3>HZT>A007>T5>JB2,in which Z5 has a better ability of anti-drought.
