Four kinds of commonly used in vertical greening plants Mucuna sempervirens, Hedera nepalensis var. sinensis, Loropetalum chinense var. rubrum. Viburnum odoratissimum are selected as test object. By means of potted plant water control method, the changes of physiological and the growth under drought stress of four species plants is studied. Membership function of fuzzy mathematics is used to synthetic evaluate the power of drought resistance of four vertical greening plants. The main conclusion is as follows:1. After the determination of soil moisture content of different sampling time, the influence of different stress gradient of soil moisture content significantly. Different sampling time and same stress gradient on the effects of soil moisture content was not significant.2. Under drought stress and with the decrease of soil water content, the leaves of four vertical greening plants appear different degree of curl and dry. The degree of drought tolerance is:Mucuna sempervirens> Viburnum odoratissimum> Loropetalum chinense var. rubrum> Hedera nepalensis var. sinensis.3. The effects of drought stress on moisture physiological characteristics results show that leaf relative water content and gradually decreased with the increased drought degree and saturation deficit and 24h water loss rate rise and drought resistance degree through the measuring results of each index isn’t the same. The determination results of RWC shows that the degree of drought resistance of four vertical greening plants is:Viburnum odoratissimum> Loropetalum chinense var. rubrum>Mucuna sempervirens> Hedera nepalensis var. sinensis. The determination results of WSD shows that the degree of drought resistance of four vertical greening plants is:Viburnum odoratissimum> Mucuna sempervirens>Loropetalum chinense var. rubrum> Hedera nepalensis var. sinensis. The determination results of 24h water loss rate shows that the degree of drought resistance of four vertical greening plants is:Loropetalum chinense var. rubrum> Mucuna sempervirens> Hedera nepalensis var. sinensis> Viburnum odoratissimum.4. With the decrease of soil water content, chlorophyll a, chlorophyll b and total chlorophyll decreased. Through variance analysis, different sampling time has remarkable effect on total chlorophyll content while have no effects on plant drought resistance. The variation of chlorophyll a, chlorophyll b and total chlorophyll all show that the degree of drought resistance of four vertical greening plants is:Viburnum odoratissimum> Mucuna sempervirens> Hedera nepalensis var. sinensis>Loropetalum chinense var. rubrum.5. Under the drought stress, MDA continue to accumulate while the ability of drought resistance of plants becomes worse. The experimental results showed that the drought resistance ability of Loropetalum chinense var. rubrum was the strongest, the second is Viburnum odoratissimum. the weakest is Hedera nepalensis var. sinensis.6. Through the determination of the antioxidant defense system SOD enzyme, the degree of drought resistance of four vertical greening plants is:Mucuna sempervirens Loropetalum chinense var. rubrum> Hedera nepalensis var. sinensis> Viburnum odoratissimum.7. With the increase of drought degree, according to the change of soluble sugar in the osmotic regulation system, the degree of drought resistance of four vertical greening plants is:Hedera nepalensis var. sinensis> Loropetalum chinense var. rubrum> Viburnum odoratissimum>Mucuna sempervirens. While the Pro analysis result shows that Mucuna sempervirens> Viburnum odoratissimum>Loropetalum chinense var. rubrum> Hedera nepalensis var. sinensis.8. Through the fuzzy membership function comprehensive evaluation of each physiological index value are superimposed and get the result, different sampling time have no effects on drought resistance of the four kind’s plants, the degree of drought resistance of four tested plants is:Loropetalum chinense var. rubrum> Mucuna sempervirens> Viburnum odoratissimum>Hedera nepalensis var. sinensis.
