Used conventional japonica rice cultivar zhengdao18 with many panicles and high-yield and high-quality, and japonica hybrid rice liangyoupeijing with large panicle as materials, Yield of two different types and effets on yield and its components were researched under the conditions of different nitrogen applied amount and planting density. By field experiments on experiment fram of xinyang agricultural academy of sciences in 2007, the studies on seeking for appropriate nitrogen applied amount and reasonable planting density matched with planting technology were carried out in sourthern region of Henan provice, specially, in the region of indica rice in xinyang. The main results were as follows:1. Different nitrogen applied amount had distinctive regulation function on yield of two cultivars. Compared with non-nitrogenappliedtrentment, two cultiars nitrogen treatments significantly increased yield.Under the treatment of N3 high nitrogen applied and N2 medium nitrogen applied of 3 nitrogen trements, two cultivars had similar yields. For zhengdao 18, the yield of high nitrogen level slightly highter than that of middle nitrogen level, that is, the the output of N3>N2.however, for liangyoupeijing, the yield of high nitrogen level slightly lower than that of middle nitrogen level, that is, the the output of N2> N3. But the yield of the two varieties of nitrogen applied had not reached significant.2. Different nitrogen applied level did good to the populating development and yield components of two cultivars.With the nitrogen applicated amount increasing,populating numbers,LAI,panicles per area,grains panicle of two species gradually increased,effective panicls,grains panicle were N3ï¹¥N2ï¹¥N1ï¹¥N0 . Besides, compared with non-nitrogen applied treatment N0, 3 nitrogen treaments reached significant at the 0.01 probability on panicle per area.The change of grains panicle caused by nitrogen applicated amount of zhengdao 18 was more apparent than liangyoupeijing. With the nitrogen applicated amount increasing, 1000-grain weight and setting rate reduced. Compared with nitrogen applied treatment N0, non-nitrogen treaments reached significant at the 0.01 probability on 1000-grain weight and setting rate.With nitrogen applied increased, the increasing of the lAI of two species reached significant at the 0.01 probability.3.
