Studides On Landscape Application Of Aquatic Plants And Its Species Resource In Hubei Province

Aquatic plants are well known for their unique forms and beauty of artistic conception. Accordingly,they were widely applied in the ancient gardens.In recent years,with the rapid improvement of construction of wetlands,biodegradation,and waterscape creation in residential area,the application of aquatic plants has become one of the most important content in urban ecological construction.Therefore,we should pay more attention to the use of aquatic plants in a scientific and rational way,as well as its ecological and artistic function in landscape.In the text,on the basis of collection and investigation of native aquatic plant resources in Hubei Province,the writer selected the typical urban wetlands in Wuhan and investigated the plants species and utilization of aquatic plants.The author expounded on four points:species selection,design,construction and maintenance.The main conclusions are as follows:(1) Hubei Province,has rich resources of aquatic plants,according to data collection and field survey。The total of native vascular aquatic plants were 188 species,belonging to 46 families,94 genera,of which ferns were 7 species,7 families,7genera,monocotyledon were 15 species,45families,88 genera,and dicotyledonous were 24 species,42 families,93genera. Based on the data,26 species of native aquatic plants with good qualities and 13 varieties of plants with potential application were recommended.(2) Through studying the plant species applications and landscape survey of a new typical artificial wetland in the city of Wuhan,it shows that there are total 61 kinds of applications aquatic plants:of which 29 species are native plants,32 species are exoticspeeies;The common species were planted in large areas,most of which were cultivated species.The new varieties were emphasized,such as Typha latifolia var,Acorus gramineus var,A corus gramineus var,Pratia nummularia,Alternanthera paronychioides,Hydrocleys nymphoides,but the evergreen aquatic plants were rarely applied.The author analyzed the utilization of the plants from the view of ecological and artistic value and put forward some suggestions.(3) By data collection and field surveys,the writer collated the suitable planting depth of different life forms of aquatic plants and expounded the selection of plants according to different functional requirements,which provided a scientific basis for selection.On the based of case studies,the design of plants was summarized systematically,and different design modes were provided according as the habitats of the specific plants.(4) On the basis of investigation and visit to the construction units,aiming at the recent problems on aquatic plants garden project,the requirements of aquatic plants cultivation and post-experience of conservation management measures for the aquatic plants on the garden landscape has been preliminary processed,which will provide a reference for aquatic plants garden project and guide the design of aquatic plants landscape vice versa.(5) On the basis of full investigation,the future application of the aquatic plants in the garden needs to be strengthened in 4 areas in this paper:To strengthen local development and utilization of wild aquatic plants and enrich the types of aquatic plants;to enhance the rational use of ecology purification of aquatic plants;to reinfore land and water space to create a series of landscape plants and to strengthen the scientific cultivation,strengthen the management of conservation,landscape water body to maintain stability and durability.And Prospects of aquatic plants in the future development is made。...
